I wonder when we'll find out whether or not he's calling the defensive plays.

Says a lotAsh will earn $520,000 after jumping from Arkansas, where he served as Bret Bielema’s defensive coordinator (and made more money). He’ll share defensive coordinator duties with Luke Fickell at Ohio State.
So Ash took $30,000 less to be a co-defensive coordinator under Urban Meyer than being *the* defensive coordinator under Bielema.

UFM did not turn the offense around in one year. I don't think the secondary will turn around in one year. My expectation is to go from 120th to 60th. I believe their best strategy will be to play press and let the defensive line get to the QB. Larry Johnston has work to do.
Sure he did. Scoring offense improved by nearly 13 points per game from 2011 to 2012. Went from being ranked 81st to being ranked 21st. Total offense increased by about 105 yards per game. It may not have been a finished product by his standards but there was a demonstrable instant impact.
In my book going from 120th to 60th would be a significant turnaround. If last season's secondary had been able to produce like the 60th best in the country the team would have played for a crystal football.
And we would've lost that crystal ball. 120 to 60th and were beating Clemson in the Orange bowl though.
