For me, the Cubs are a victim of Tim Tebow-syndrome.

I don't have a problem with them. In fact, as a child, they were my second favorite team behind the Tribe. I grew up watching them and Harry Caray on WGN. So I don't mind losing to them so much.

Better them than the Dodgers, Mets, or Braves...all teams I cannot stand.

Not me. I can't stand Cubs fans.....no issue with the old-timers, they've paid their dues. But these thirty-somethings who act like they've suffered through any real sports misery can fuck right off. Especially now.

Waaaaah.....our baseball team hasn't won a WS while I'm alive. Sure....but you've had the Bulls in the 90s........Da Bears in 85.......the Blackhawks have won a couple Stanley Cups lately. Almost any other sports city would trade for that.

I have the Reds from 1990 and that's it in the way of pro sports success. The Bengals? The CBJ?

You say this like most Cubs fans today are from Chicago, or have ever lived there... Somehow half of my graduating HS class all became Red Sox or Cubs fans in the past 20 years, ugh.
