Chicago Cubs (3x World Series Champions)

  1. Whats is the deal with Wrigley Field? Most everyone thinks it is such a great place but having been there all I thought was that is was old and the home of a team that has not won since 1908.....

Haven't been there. But i've been to Fenway. And I can tell you that it was the most amazing baseball park i've ever seen. I wish the Reds never would have moved out of Crossley field.

  3. I may get to go to Fenway this year as the wife gets an all expenses paid trip to Boston! 25 years at her Insurance Company

Been to Wrigley, Fenway and Yankee stadiums... I feel they all have this sort-of "old-soul" feeling to them. Much enjoyment!

I've been thinking of going to a game @ Fenway this Summer. Which was your favorite out of the three?

Hard to say... each holds a special memory with me...

Wrigley, a trip with DGADBTWSOM, his dad and a guy I used to work for, had a blast.

Yankee stadium, my 10th year anniversary gift to BKB (10 year is diamond, why not a baseball diamond? awesome seats, with full service waitresses, security, much easier when you know someone close to Steinbrenner.)

Fenway, again, another trip with DGAD.. we took the tour, have the pictures to prove it... On a seperate occassion though I did attend a game there...

Not an easy pick for me... as I mentioned, they all have this "old soul" baseball feeling to them. If I could only make it to one stadium and had no recollection of my time spent there I would have to Wrigley or Fenway... and of those two I would have to narrow it to......hmmm, the winner is...........

    Wrigley

    ORD_Buckeye Wrong glass, Sir.

One little change, and it's an apt description of a visit to Notre Dame Stadium.

Re: Owner won't hesitate to sell Wrigley Field naming rights

It was also called Cubs Park from 1920 to 1926 before finally being renamed for then Cubs team owner and chewing gum industrialist William Wrigley Jr. I kind of thought that the naming rights were already sold.

coastalbuck And this one belongs to the Reds!

Maybe they could do something like some universities do, Wrigley Field at Google ballpark or something like that.... I'd sorta hate to see it change totally.

Some people find this rather unsettling. Deadspin
