Chicago Cubs (3x World Series Champions)

10 consecutive losses and fading fast. I'm not sure there is a team that openly whines about pitches being called balls and strikes literally every inning quite like the Cubs. They demand balls off the plate to be called balls when hitting and strikes when pitching, and they protest every time the call goes against them. If they are batting, even if the pitch is literally in the strike zone sometimes they protest it. With such a focus on the umpires, no wonder why they are struggling. I am thinking Kris Bryant will be traded soon.

Meh. Cubbies learned that whining act from the Red Sucs and Yankers, both of whom have done that since well before the Cubbies thought they had a chance to get out of last place!

Kimbrel to the White Sox, Baez to the Mets, Bryant to the Giants.

The best part of this rebuild though is they’re stuck with Heywards .600 OPS for two more years and are paying 44 million for it.
Don't forget Rizzo to NYY

Does the "Brizzo" partnership have to be dissolved now?

Gotta admit, their fanbase has made this a very fun window closing to watch.

As a Brewers fan, nothing more on this planet I enjoy than watching the sCrUBS fail. (Unless its the cardinals - cause fk them and LaRussa and McGwire and anything to do with 1982)
Embarrassing that a major market team would have to have a fire sale… if I was a fan I’d be pissed.

Take me out to the sportsbook: Betting site next to Wrigley Field approved

The Commission on Chicago Landmarks unanimously voted Thursday to approve the Cubs' plans to build a two-story sportsbook adjacent to Wrigley Field.

The addition will take at least a year to build, sources told ESPN. It will be open to the public before, during and after games, and while fans will be able to enter Wrigley Field from inside the sportsbook, they won't be required to be attending the game to make bets inside.

"With this approval by the Chicago Landmarks Commission, we are excited to realize the potential envisioned by the State of Illinois to bring revenue, jobs and an exciting amenity to our fans," the Cubs said in a statement. "This sportsbook will play a huge role in helping to create economic impact through job creation, wages, investments and revenue for the City, State and County at a time when new sources of revenue are needed to fund infrastructure projects and education."
