I love the fact that Demetrius Jones is man enough to say--despite the lies and manipulation on Weis' part--that he could have handled the situation better. Contrast that with the petulant, holier-than-thou attitude from Fat Bastard and the entire ND administration. I'll root hard for this kid when he finally gets back on the field.

Oh yeah. Notre Dame still gets more newspaper space than the entire Big Ten.

I haven't read the local papers yet to see if there's any response to ND not releasing Jones from his scholarship. I wouldn't expect this to go away quietly. Coming on the heels of the Willingham situation, I'm certain that some African American organizations and activists will be discussing what they can do. We'll see if any action comes of it.

But what better coach is going to step in that mess? That's the question.

A lot of coaches see what's going on and saw what happened to Willingham and what Urban Meyer did to NoD....
