Charlie Weis (ex-Kansas HC, ex-Fla OC, Notre Dame legend, UnDecided Schematic Advantage)

Is there really any surprise here? Sure, the precise script of how he's leaving has come out of Mali...err left field, but is there really any surprise that he is handling his exit with an utter and complete lack of grace, humility and class? The man is a revolting, smug egomaniac who never passed on an opportunity to blame others for his collosal failures: his tummy tuck doctors, his home contractors, his players, his assistant coaches and now apparently the Office of Residential Life at his supposedly beloved alma mater.

We witnessed the depravity of this man's out of control ego a little earlier than most at the Fiesta Bowl, but eventually it was out there for the whole country to see. What he has done to Pete Carroll is no surprise. The man is a pig. He always has been a pig and always will be a pig.

Nothing else needs said.

I'm probably a naive moron for suggesting this, but I've always thought Weis was just really, really insecure as opposed to massively egotistical. I actually don't think he's a bad person . . . although I'm probably the only one, and would mostly feel sorry for him but for the kazillions of dollars he's managed to make.

Really insecure, massively egotistical.. In my opinion, they tend to be pretty much the same. Make up for insecurities by being a jerk.

Curious; when did you meet Charlie that you can make an opinion?
Well I think he's massively egotistical for the same reasons as pretty much everyone else on this board-- because every word that comes out of his mouth in interviews says so.

And the other comment was just a comment about egotistical people in general, which may or may not apply to Chawly.

Just because he's got insecurities doesn't make him any better of a person.. We all have insecurities, some of us manage to deal with them by not running our mouths off and being jerks.

So you have never met the man then?
most people in here have formed an opinion based on what everyone else in here says about him, yet none have met him.

I think the championship ring comment(s) more than qualify the guy as an egotistical idiot that is also a massive jerk (in more ways than one) on top of it all.

He can try to bend and shape his comment(s) on Petey after the fact all he wants, but we all saw through that crap to what he originally said. if that was hyperbole or just an example and not a flat out attack, then I'm Wayne Newton.

I'd much rather have a life free of press meetings and all the other stress that comes with a high profile coaching position than the multi-million dollar contracts. And I can avoid all the public talk of being an egotistical jerk.

No doubt. I might be wrong about him, he might be a great guy. I haven't met Mike Vick either, or plenty of other people whom I dislike.

I wasn't around yesterday when the story on Weis accusing Carroll came out, and I have to say I'm rather disappointed in what was posted.

Where in the hell are the pictures of Pete's grad student in Malibu/Marina Del Ray/Wherever?
