Charles Barkley says he took money in college

Charles Barkley is nothing if not candid and the outspoken NBA star turned TV talking head weighed in on two of the week's hot-button topics as only he can on a radio show Friday morning.

First, he weighed in on New Orleans Saints RB Reggie Bush relinquishing his Heisman in the wake of reports he took money from an agent while at USC.

"I got money from agents when I was in college. Most of the players I know borrow money from agents," Barkley told Dan Patrick on his radio show.

He said he borrowed from two or three agents and got "Like chump change. Just walk around money." Adding "I paid them back when I went to the NBA."

"Let me tell you something, these agents are well known, and they've been giving kids money for 30 years, and I have no problem with it. Borrowing money from an agent ain't the same as a college paying you."

And on the Ines Saintz/New York Jets locker room scandal, he was far more succinct in his analysis.

"I gotta tell you something. When I watch TV now I feel bad for ugly women. Because if you are an ugly woman you got no chance of getting on TV now, especially in the sporting culture."

Lol he sort of has a point even though he doesn't understand what it is and theres nothing about it that is some recent thing.

You have to be presentable looking to be on television, that doesn't mean that you have to be ATTRACTIVE but you don't see people who are immensely obese or have deformations or scarring (burn marks or hairlips or whatever). That's just the reality of what people want and don't want to see from people on tv though.
