CFP Title Game, Alabama vs tOSU, Jan 11, 8:15 ET on ESPN, Miami

CNS, not sure of player, big outbreak in preseason. If OSU was trying to post-pone game, assuming they're going to have several out, if not assuming the postponement was designed to buy time for Fields to get healthy.

In case you haven't been paying attention, the game is 100% going to be played on Monday. Only you're fanbase and your dear coache's assistant fucking, woman beating boozebag daughter believed that story.

Didn't say that- if completely healthy with Dickerson and Waddle it's the best offense that I've ever seen at Bama, and I would challenge you to find an offense with as much NFL talent on any team in history. That I stand behind.
Is this where we suggest your own team in 2018?

Mac behind two NFL starters
Najee behind two NFL backs (Najee will make it 2 1st rders)
Waddle as your 4th WR behind 2 1st rders and a heisman winner

Alabama's offense is superb. I'd really like to see what Mac does against a team that can disrupt the pocket, and am disappointed that Texas A&M seems to have infected the league with their level of offense and defense. I'm not sure if OSU will have the personnel to do this, unless they can get creative and also exploit your center's departure.

That I stand behind. The weakness is on defense, I wonder if the DC is a weakness, not a Pete Goulding fan. OSU can win it, but of you do it will be because your offense had a great night, like Clemson.
With Waddle and Smith, you have the top 2 wide receivers in the draft, Harris, the top running back, Mac a first round QB, #3 in the Heisman race, Dickerson 1st team AA center, both tackles are 1st rounders, Deonte Brown Guard is 2nd round, and the other guard is young with potential to get there. TEs are solid but no first rounders.

Georgia has as much defensive talent as anyone in the country. Go watch the tape and see how often they got to Mac. Your D line, a'int getting there. If they get pressure, you'll see slants and quick passes on the outside. If you blitz, your corners are going to be on an island, Good luck with that. The mighty Buckeye D is not stopping these guys. Again, you'll either outscore us or not.

This D line will be the best Bama has faced all season... and it isn’t close.

I'm not sure why you keep quoting your own posts, so I'll try again.
With Waddle and Smith, you have the top 2 wide receivers in the draft (as backups to the top 2 WRs in 2020 draft), Harris, the top running back (backup to top RB in draft), Mac a first round QB (again, backup to a guy like that), #3 in the Heisman race, Dickerson 1st team AA center, both tackles are 1st rounders (same with 2018), Deonte Brown Guard is 2nd round, and the other guard is young with potential to get there. TEs are solid but no first rounders. (Irv was a 2nd rder)
All you're doing is proving my point. That 2018 team had all of that (except Landon), and they had almost all of these skill guys coming off of the hbench.

Maybe this one is playing better. Maybe there aren't many SEC teams fielding defenses this year. Florida, LSU certainly are not.

I have zero question about the talent of the personnel itself, and am very glad that Devonta won the generally foolish "which QB has the most talent" award.

We have 3 WRs that can take the top off, 5 OL that will be high picks in the NFL, two physical backs, and two elite TEs.

As for Georgia... fantastic defense. However they beat you guys with competent QB play.

Which... we have.

You guys are just like the 2018 Bama team. All offense and no defense. Do you remember what that Clemson team did to you? This buckeye offense is the most complete you've seen all year and the brightest offensive mind in arguably all of football. If ole miss for 40+ what will we get?

Thanks, that's what I saw as well. Lots of athleticism, but not the typical immovable (but athletic) trees upfront.

OSU's DL is very opposite from recent years. After an insane run of great DEs (Young, N.Bosa, J.Bosa, Spence) to go with plenty of good ones (Hubbard, Lewis, Holmes), but only solid to good DTs (with Hamilton possibly being the best), this year they lack any high end DEs but have a pair of high level DTs.

Garrett has been very disruptive all season, and Togiai is a tank with enough technique and motor to make plays. OSU rarely gets guys like Tommy. In the semi-final, DT Togiai and DE Smith were living in the Clemson backfield (albeit with a much worse OL from SC).

The feared covid casualties are Togiai, Smith & Williams. Only the latter is confirmed.

OSU was already experimenting with Browning as a pass-play only rush end, both because of his athleticism but also their lack of depth there. They were missing Zach Harrison last week, who returns from covid protocols for the NC game. He has yet to turn the corner and realize his potential as a 5-star DE, though he has impossible acts to follow in the guys before him.
Thanks, it would be great if both teams were 100% healthy and ready to play. I hate the injury part of football and this year COVID has reared its ugly head. Just glad that we've had a season and get to look forward to a great game.

Georgia has plenty of talent. Too bad they don't know how to play disciplined football, or use quarterbacks. They should have been a ferocious 2nd SEC candidate for the CFP, instead they had to play the AAC to get their first solid win of the year (and frankly should have lost).

Georgia didn't get to Trask either, who has the quickness of Rich Eisen.

As for the rest of that post, I'm having trouble keeping up.

You tell me they could never pressure your QB
Then you tell me if they do, it won't work because your team will adjust with quick hitters
Then you tell me that it will because of blitzing, which is not something OSU typically does.

This isn't a mighty Buckeye D, you are arguing with non-existent hyperbole. That was last year, but they had that taken away from them.

OSU's strength is their interior DL (which might be covid stricken) and LBs. Their corners are a big step down from their usual play, and their DEs are a lot thinner than usual.

@Jim Hunter, one interesting wrinkle will be to see if they continue to feature the TE in the passing game. Ruckert is a very athletic weapon and Farrell is a reliable chain mover.

Pitts is obviously in a class of his own, but OSU may test similar spots.

That was the biggest transformation from NW to Clemson. They were open all day against NW but Justin was pressing hard, trying to be perfect and holding the ball. He let it fly against Clemson and looked like the guy who has been challenging Lawrence for top QB for the last 5 years.

The return of Olave was also monumental. OSU has some great young talent in Smith Njigba and Fleming but those youngsters just aren't ready.

Sidenote: Daron Payne keeps eating for my WFT.

You may be right, I actually said the same thing. The turnovers in the second half were the difference. OSU has great talent and coaching and so does Bama. The truth is none of us know what's going to happen, otherwise we'd be betting our house on the game. But at least we have something to watch. My only question with OSU is the quality of competition in your league. Indiana was beaten out by a 4 win Ole Miss, Northwestern would be lucky to win 4-5 this year in our league. They did beat a coach less Auburn. Florida mucked it up against OU after all their receivers quit but they did have one of the top offenses in the country. But I don't question, OSU you're legit, it's going to be a heck of a game.
