Whatever happened to @Gcashwell? He was the quality Bama poster who showed up in the lead up to the 2015 Sugar Bowl and has popped in from time to time since. I don't think we saw him once since this game was set. These guys are the kind of fans from other schools that are really an asset to the board ( plus it's entertaining when @Nutriaitch @BigWoof31 and @Gatorubet start smack talking about their teams on a Buckeye board 8D ) I hope @Jim Hunter sticks around. It's great to have quality conversation with fans of other teams!

Edit - they finished with 157 yards rushing at that included the end of the game where they ran it down to milk the clock. We did okay against the run, but fuck they didn't run it because we were giving them easy pitch and catches with our personnel and coverages.

i thought OSU did pretty damn well against the run overall, which you should if you are playing 4-4. What was so miserable about it was Harris’s ability to get extra yards. -2 turned into +2, 2 turned into 6, 4 turned into 10. The boys simply could not get him to the ground 1-on-1 or get any real negative yardage plays.

As awesome as Smith was, his life was pretty easy. Run the route and catch the pass uncontested. Same for Mac — read the defense pre-snap, take the ball, and throw it it to the guy you know is going to be wide open. Done. Harris is a monster, though. He earned every damn yard.

I watched most of the game from the skycam, and this is pretty much what it looked like for Alabama.

From threat of no season to having a limited season. Not having the same personnel for any one game and limited practice. Fucking thrilled by this season. Year Michigan got scared and finally got past Clemson. Last nights game didn't feel right from the get go. Sermon out, defensive scheme my uncle would draw up in the dirt during a backyard game and key players out. Is what it is and Bama was just straight up focused and disciplined.

The only thing at this point I'm saddened by is we didnt keep it close. Who knows what kind of harm this does to us in the future. I know what 2006 and 2007 did to the program and I hope this doesn't set us back.

he’s a day 2 slot corner... those are in demand... he’ll still go in the first 3 rounds based on ‘19s film playing slot and shutting it down... any hopes of being a first rounder a legit corner are gone after this year

Second year in a row I think our offense was shutdown in CFP by injury to RB.

I don’t think Teague, again, had a full compliment of the play-book. Nor Crawley for that matter.

I understand it’s hard to gameplan and get everyone same amount of reps, especially in Covid, but it’s a bit frustrating. Outside of Teague’s missed screen pass.....there was just nothing in terms of misdirection or creative plays.

I don’t think that’s because Day didn’t have it ready.....I think it’s because the personnel available wasn’t prepared to execute it. Same with when Dobbins was lost for significant portion of Clemson last year.

Bama was by far the better though, and congrats to them. Saban is the GOAT of college football and I don’t think it’s very close. I was hoping we’d be competitive, and am a little surprised at how easily they dismantled us. I’m excited for the the future though and to see some new faces next year. Good luck to all the guys leaving for NFL, and especially Wyatt Davis who looked to have a significant injury.....hope he’s healthy and goes Rd 1 as was expected.

To be quite frank, my soul is getting a bit weary of being cleansed every year. I know there were mitigating circumstances this year, but it's still an odd place to be as a program to be so successful and yet at the same time routinely take ass kickings like we do.

That said, I'm proud of this team and what they accomplished and the fight they had this year. The writing was on the wall when Sermon went out and I think, despite what they have said/will say in the press and social media, Clemson was really the finish line for this team and the fire died down a little after that game.

Coombs got pantsed. Again, we were behind the 8-ball coming in but when you have Tuf Borland ever trying to cover Devonta Smith, you've decisively lost the battle. I appreciate how well Borland and Werner played most of this year, but I'm ready for some new blood in the LB room. Teague is what I said in his thread yesterday, a nice compliment to batter the D after they've been worn down. He's not The Guy, and that's okay as long as we're not using him as The Guy.

I appreciate that we got to watch some of these guys for 8 more games when it looked like we weren't going to get that opportunity. We got to see some great performances out of Olave, Wilson, Fields, and Sermon. It was awesome watching Togiai and Garrett in the middle, and I don't know how Garrett didn't get more attention with his story and as well as he played this year. I hope that Sermon and Davis have full and speedy recoveries. The future is still bright. Maybe we can just think about cutting out the near annual 30-point beat downs moving forward?

Not to belabor an old discussion, but last night, this morning, today, are whey people who are “ZOMG Natty or bust!” people are going to spend most of their lives disappointed. You have to be able to revel in this team and what it accomplishes along the way, even being disappointed they don’t take home the trophy. These things are damned hard to win in the era of Darth Sabanus, but OSU is one of two teams who consistently put themselves in position to get a shot. That’s why I am way more pissed they didn’t get to play the Michigan game than I am losing to the Galactic Empire.
