Why didn't Watson run the ball nearly as much this year? Was he hurt? Did defenses figure him out? Does the OL suck? Were the coaches saving him?

Last year Bama needed three busted coverages, an on side kick, and a kick return TD to beat a clemson team without Williams. Why haven't they looked like that team this year?

I assumed it was like Troy Smith in 06. He wanted to be an NFLer.

Why didn't the 2015 Buckeye team with all those NFL players win every game by 3 TD?

Who knows what goes on in these kids/coaches heads

Edit: I see it now- is and isn't are relatively close and I can see how a quick read would get it mixed up (although the context should have made it clear).

I think Michigan's front 7 is as good as Clemson's and Bama's and prepared OSU's OL well for what to expect in the playoffs.

They were the underdogs all year last year. People doubted them all year and they were unproven in many spots.

Like our team last year they've tasted success at the highest level and many of these kids now have dollar signs on their minds.

As for Watson not running as much? Just natural progression IMO. Kids normally run more when they aren't as sure of their arms but once they have more experience they don't run as much.
