Game Thread CFP Playoff Cotton Bowl, tOSU vs Texas, Fri. Jan. 10th, 7:30 ET on ESPN

Reading on Texas forums they really hate Ewers. He played his heart out and made some incredible plays in that game.

They should hate the QB coach that took this much talent and could coach him up at all. 3 years there and he’s basically the same QB that he was in high school.
Don‘t tell anybody on Surly, but Ewers was programmed to be a deep undercover Buckeye when he roomed with Sawyer, they set up the dramatic game-deciding play 3 years ago just before Ewers left for Texas.

My wife commented on a ball he threw... she was like "They guy didn't even need to move his hands.. it was just ... right there" I have no ill will to Quinn, and I hope he has a great career. I suspect he's got an uphill climb, but the arm talent is off the charts to this day.

That was my thought reviewing the film breakdown of Ewers leading into this game—Sark is a great offensive coordinator; he (or whoever is taking the lead on it for them) is not a good QB coach.

That scramble he had for the 1st down where you can see him look to the sidelines to see where the first down was, then ducking his head, lowering his shoulders, squaring up and going head to head with some dudes that have been laying wood like carpenters for 3 games was tough as leather. Dude has heart. I couldn't read their fuckin forums the way they were trashing him. Fuckin shit fans

Meanwhile, in Columbus, Will Howard developed in 1 season from running QB to this.

And out in Syracuse, McCord fights for more college eligibility.

Give the devil his due, Ryan Day knows QB.
