I love when people waste their time commentating that they don't like a particular sport - like somehow, you have this inner desire to want everyone to hate the sport.

NBA Scrooges.... They're Fantastic!!!

I agree...It isn't like it is on my too do list to go troll the hockey boards and talk about how boring it is...

Got me. You're right. I don't need to piss in your Cherrios. I'm stuck with a stack of final portfolios to grade and in a sour mood. Sorry.

For what it's worth, I loved the old NBA, before they allowed hand checking, palming, steps etc in an attempt to keep O/D balance in the game. There's no question about the athleticism of those on the court today. They'd have been fantastic playing under the old rules. What they would lack is the team play from those years.

I really think the winner of this game tonight wins the series...IF the Celtics win I am not going to give up...But I truly believe we need to come out and hit them in the mouth, and win this game to win the series...

I think either of the first two would be good enough. Hasn't Detroit won the first two the past two years only to have the Cavs come back and even the series on them. It might take a game for the Cavs to ratchet it up for the Celtics.

Not saying that I disagree with you, it is just my feeling that this game is the best chance that we will have with Boston just coming off the emotional game 7, us having extra rest, and before any adjustments are made in terms of how to defend LBJ...

If we can get this one and defend our homecourt we can win this, or we can force it to a game 7 which I would have faith in us...But if we lose a heartbreaker in Boston it usually hurts the team when they go back home, much like SA did to PHX...

First off, stop counting the Lakers in.

I like the winner of NO/SA to knock them off, in 6.

Consistent bench points, and good defense, call it a conference final rematch with Detroit.

I definately agree with that, as I think SA and NO are better teams. Quite honestly, I just don't trust NBA officiating.

I don't trust their officiating in the Boston/Cleveland series either. So many things can be influenced when nobody is paying attention. I'm interested in seeing how these games are called early and who gets in early foul trouble.
