Heck yea! My alma mater getting some love from Hodgepodge on BP! Since I'm living out-of-state now, what can you tell me about Copher? What kind of program should I expect to see him going to? I don't think we've had a BCS conference caliber kid since Brock Bolen (though I thought Dustin Strayer and Teddy Boehner would get a bit more interest than I believe they ultimately got).

It's a little too early to say in what kind of program he'll end up, really. That is especially the case because he is an offensive lineman. He obviously has a great frame and has fairly good feet, but how well he manages to improve his coordination as he adds weight in the coming years will determine just how highly recruited he will be. He plays basketball and throws the weights in track, so those will help him continue to improve his balance, footwork, and flexibility. Considering the pass-happy offense with which Valley View is associated, he should develop into a proficient pass-blocker, if nothing else.

BTW, his classmate Kyle Pohl (6-3 185) should also be a Division I-A prospect. He was an excellent WR last year and should be the starting QB this coming season.

Thanks so much for the info! I played tennis with a Pohl when I was at VV. In towns as small as Germantown and Farmersville, I can almost promise they're related. I'll try to get ahold of him and report back.

People around the country know SVSM because Lebron James graduated from there, but they have a great football program. They have 4 state titles in the playoff era, and they are still strong to this day. I do believe that they lost two tough games to Mooney last year, although the regular season loss may have come to Youngstown Ursuline (unless both happened, but I can't remember). Whatever teh case may be, it wouldn't surprise me at all to see their program continue to pump out young prospects.
This must make Hoban a national powerhouse... because Hoban is like 12-1 vs SVSM in the last 13 years... :banger:  .. Hey BBH, sit down...

His 2010 list had Henderson at #2, not #1, which made me instantly skeptical . . . .

Seastrunk who I believe is #1 on his list is a stud, I haven't actually seen much film, but I don't think that Henderson is the for sure #1 player in the country...He is in the running, but that doesn't make him #1 for sure...

This is some guy that also posts on FVsports.com as well, because his list are up there as well...

Here's a link to his freshman year highlight film. He started varsity as a freshman in '07. His father played for West Virginia. Unfortunately, he was injured in the first game of the '08 season and didn't return but I am told that he has bounced back and to expect big things this fall.

Seastrunk is actually #3, with Jackson Jeffcoat at #1. Still, I agree Henderson may not easily be the #1 guy in the country, though I think he is. However, I can't wait to see Jeffcoat's film, he is getting some serious reviews. But to Wade's point...yeah, that list is awful.

He has a great tenacity already. He will be one of the top linemen in the nation for sure.
