Cbf40's look at '11 recruiting

http://rivals100.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=896613

Noticed an OT for the class of '11 was mentioned as a standout performer at this combine. He is Aundrey Walker out of Glenville. What do you in the know have on this guy.

Even though he is only a Soph, it might be time for an OT out of Glenville who is getting props in the national scene(Rivals), to have his own thread on BP.

He is on hodgepodge's list...

Really not a whole lot out there other than that and him making the all-combine list...

Will try and update this thread here in a couple days, but really it is still very early...

Might even start a 2012 thread as there seems to be a couple big times guys with their names getting thrown around already...With interest in us...

Some Class of '11 info I ran across.

If there is one thing to be gathered from that link, HP, it is that Glenville is absolutely loaded with monster prospects for the class of '11. I know it is a long way down the road. but it is also good to see early standout prospects that might project at DTin Ohio. I get a kick out of seeing 15 or so names of young players this early in the process, and then later seeing in reality how many of them become Div 1 recruits. I guess I should send that fat b*st*rd algore a thank you note for inventing the internet, and thus giving us internet recruiting. Anyway, thanks HP...

Some guys on Hodgepodge's list with video up on scoutingohio.com...

Ray Hamilton Strongsville TE - He has very good size and a good frame for a sophomore...Uses his hands well to catch the ball...Once he adds size to his frame he could be a 6'5'' 240 lb kid going to college...Not sure on speed, but looks to move well and fluid...

Trey DePreist Springfield OLB - Plays along the LOS as an OLB in a 3-4 style defense...He has great size for a sophomore at 6'2'' 220 could be destined to be a MLB, but he does a great job rushing the passer, and breaking down and making tackles in space...Don't know speed numbers but looks to have adequate speed...Also looks to be good in pass coverage getting good drops and making plays on the ball, and also some plays on film that show his football sense, by getting guys back to the inside, flipping the ball when going down after an int, staying home on the reverse, etc...Also lines up at QB and runs the ball as well...Just an all around football player...

Darien Bryant Reynoldsburg TE/WR - Reminds me of Jake Stoneburner...With the ability to be a flex type with great speed...He also shows lots of toughness blocking in his video...Not a lot of catches on there, but you can see his ability to cut when running routes, pretty smooth for a 6'4' 200lb kid...has the frame to add another 40 lbs and be a force over the middle and on jump balls. I know it is early, and have no clue about grades, but this is a kid that I forsee getting an offer in the 2011 class...

Josh Mclain Northmont WR - He is getting hyped as the next big one out of Northmont...Really doesn't show an explosiveness at WR in his video, but he does show the abilty to get open, some decent moves, very good leaping ability, and has good size at 6'2'' 200 lbs, and the ability to block down field. With more film I think we will seee a much more explosive player...

Roger Williamson Dunbar WR/DB - I like his ball skills...Could be a S prospect if he can add some weight to his 6'2'' 175lb frame. Would like to know some speed numbers, at times he looks like he has average speed, as guys are staying up with him, and other times he looks like he is burning...Liked his ability to fight off blocks and make the tackle as well.

Shayne Wynn Glenville ATH - Not sure if his newest video was posted in his thread or not, but this one really shows his explosiveness...Gonna need to add some size, but either way he is a threat with the ball in his hands...Top 5 player in the state in the 2011 class...

Now for some notes about the guys in Ohio...

Shaping up nicely with some very good athletes in this class...

A top ranked QB...

Not sure on OL/DL yet...Chris Boles is a name I am hearing along with Audrey Walker (Glenville - one to watch from the AA combine)

Steve Miller is probably a sure thing in terms of a DE...

AJ Jordan is one with no video, but is also going to throw his name in the ring for top 5-10 in the sate...

Chris Rock is another name being throw early as a top 10 guy...

Same for Doran Grant...

Robert Walton and Sturdivant are names I continue to hear from Glenville...

Also some names from St. X, ASVSM, Colerain, Glenville, Warren Harding are out there, but not much film on them...

I know it is very early and every year looks like a great year, so we will wait a little while, and maybe it is due to the internet, and earlier exposure, but there seems to be lots of names out there already that are already being projected as D-I type players compared to other years in terms of how early the names are out there...
