CBF40'S Look at '09 recruiting

So. LSU uses a "midget" to win a National Championship and Saddler is too small for us?
LSU also faces 210 lbs & 240-250 lb DEs in the SEC. Easier to get away with it there. See how he does playing Wisconsin, PSU, & OSU in consecutive weeks. My guess is he'd be used as sparingly as he was in the NC game.
Seems like we could use a "midget" like Saddler with that speed.
Saddler isn't in that zipcode of speed. He's extremely explosive, but does not possess anywhere near as much top-end speed.

I thought we had plenty of guys to fill that role, though? :p

You can keep typing it, but this still isn't a sentence.
In the best conference in college football, what works there would not work here(in one of the arguably weakest)?
Yes, a 150 lb RB, 210 LB & 240 lb DE would typically struggle with the size and physicality of the b10. Likewise, a 330 lb mauler would struggle with the quick, undersized front 7's in the SEC.

Hall is legit. He put up great numbers, despite having TP to compete with on carries and plays. However, one could look at it in the sense that opposing defenses focused on TP, leaving Hall open to make big plays. I am looking forward to seeing how Hall does without TP at Jeanette next year. Either way, Hall is absolutely explosive with the ball in his hands, and can play slot or RB. Shoot, he could even play DB in a pinch (not that we'll need him to). I'm still waiting for some new film on Jordan because I really feel he has some great potential. Just off of one play in the limited highlights showed it...he made a cut and got upfield, losing almost no speed, and our coaches love it. I am fine with Hale and Saddler going to Pitt. I was high on Hale for a bit but he really struggled transitioning to DE and he won't be able to play LB at the next level imo. Saddler was a good player and all, but I would honestly take Hall over him anyday.
