CB Travis Howard (Official Thread)

One thing to consider is we are down 2 CB's...He will get PT IF HE TRIES HIS BUTT OFF PLAYING ST!!! Thats how young guys gets noticed. If he makes some big ST plays he will get the coaches attention quick. Young LB's and DB's get noticed on ST at OSU because like everyone has said his has a mountain to climb on the depth chart. If he gets PT as a DB it will be garbage unless he shows exceptional skill at the cb position...most PT if any will be ST.

Scott and Clifford were both on kick coverage, so the opportunity for Howard to make an impact is there imo. He's big, extremely physical, and fast, so I really like his chances.

Howard was at the game in jersey, windpants, without pads, and didn't practice with the team pre-game. He had a boot on one of his feet, so it is assumed he's nursing an apparent ankle/foot injury.

Probably why we haven't heard much about Travis this fall like some of the other new recruits.

My cousin has been talking to Travis alot lately, she met him down in Cbus and he told her this past week he tweaked his ankle in practice recently but its nothing real serious, and that the staff fully expects him to be on the field playing on Saturdays soon.

I had her ask him about redshirting because of it or because of depth and he said the staff has no intention of RS'ing him at this time.
