Yeah, never really bought into the potential "top 10 pick in the draft" talk either. Then again, I never really saw it in Damon Arnette either and he got drafted early 1st so what do I know?

Because it didn’t happen in season doesn’t mean it wouldn’t happen over the spring and summer. Cam Brown was just quoted earlier this week about the three younger corners being dogs whose time was coming. That’s not dispositive, but I’d say it’s persuasive.

It is unclear whether Banks intends to transfer, will attempt to play professionally, or simply retire from football. Day said he plans to meet with Banks and his family on Tuesday but that the cornerback would be "moving on" from the Ohio State football program.

Under normal circumstances, Banks would have exhausted his eligibility in 2021. Because the NCAA gave all players a free year of eligibility in 2020, Banks is eligible to play a “super senior” season in 2022.
