CB Ryan Turner (transfer to Boston College)

After watching some film of our '22 recruits, depending on who else pulls the trigger for us, Ryan is my early pick for sleeper in this class. You can see he's still learning, but he's really solid in his coverage skills, and isn't shy to make contact and lay the wood. Kid has good instincts for the position too. With Coach Combs & Coach Mick, Ryan could turn into a real star

I don't think a kid should be a 3* with Ryan's cover skills as a JR in HS. Ryan's getting slept on and I think he'll be a good one for us

BROWN, JOHNSON SPLIT FIRST-TEAM REPS AT CORNERBACK
Two days after Ohio State defensive coordinator Jim Knowles expressed concerns about the Buckeyes’ cornerback depth, we got a glimpse at why on Thursday.

Ohio State had only four scholarship cornerbacks on the field during team drills Thursday as sophomore Jordan Hancock did not practice at all due to his injury while freshman Ryan Turner was a limited participant.

As for Hancock, Turner and Dunn, Day said he does not expect any of the cornerbacks’ injuries to be long-term injuries, though he acknowledged that cornerback depth is one of his biggest concerns right now.

TURNER THE SACK MAN
Even though Ryan Turner is from Hollywood (Florida), the cornerback probably wouldn't have scripted his first career tackle with the Buckeyes being a sack.

With just under six minutes remaining in the game, Rutgers faced 2nd-and-three from its own 21-yard line. Turner was able to blitz from the left side and take Evan Simon down on the 15-yard line for a six-yard sack. The stop was key to ending Rutgers' last meaningful possession of the game.
