Safe to say he isn't leaving SEC Country?

Try reading more than the 3 posts on this page... that is definitely not the case.

Eh, both of you are correct in the context of this recruitment...

RRR notices that tOSU is the only school mentioned above the Mason-Dixon Line...historically, that has not been a good omen.

JWins is remembering the multiple mentions during the summer where James told other recruits that he planned on being a Buckeye.

Neither path is infallible.

Right now, I have a hard time seeing Florida losing any in-state kids they want...but you never know and James likes tOSU.

UF just got another CB commit which brings their total up to 3. It looks like they will also get the JC guy(Tureene sp?). How many more do they plan to bring in?

No idea...doesn't tOSU bring in seemingly endless numbers of DB types also?

Speed.

That is the ticket.

My guess (just a guess, and definitely contrary to the weight of opinion) is that both OSU and UF cool on Scott as they each pursue better/other talent, and that Scott ends up somewhere else (Tennessee or LSU, for example). Again, just a guess, but I'm pretty certain that OSU has a few more highly rated DB's on its board, and that Scott could be left out if, say, Dionte Allen and Major Wright (or Donovan Warren, or maybe even DeMarcus Van Dyke) want to be Buckeyes.

I'm convinced Scott is the best corner we are after right now, including Berry, Allen, Warren, VanDyke, etc. If you throw in RoJo I would have to give him the slight nod though. Scott really reminds me of the definition of a "silver bullet". He just flys to the ball well and doesn't miss a tackle. Not only is he so physical, he is almost as impressive in coverage and makes plays on special teams. Add that to the fact that we have Evege as a lockdown type of guy and possibly Torrence and I would say that he would be ideal for this class. I can see somebody debating that he is better than Berry, Allen, and Warren but I just think he would be a perfect fit here.

I just think that staff would rate the other guys higher b/c of height...JMO tho because the staff has always like the taller corners. I do agree with you about his playing style tho, but I think I would take Allen over him. Warren doesnt look as physical as those two, but he is probably the best cover guy. I honestly think that Scott could make a great safety, in the mold of Donte Whitner, but right now we already have the best safety class ever and we might be able to add Wright to that.
