Since the Big 10 is such a comparatively slow and nonathletic conference he should be able to step right in and be first team though.

In all seriousness...glad to have him. Depth in the secondary is always something great to have especially with 3 starters on the way out.

Having to take a year off is a great thing for him, seeing as injuries have been the problem. Instead of trying to impress the nole coaches with his wanting to start, and possibly re-injuring himself, he can rehab for a year at tOSU and give it his all his senior year with a decent shot at starting.

With one season of eligibility? Yeah! He could start there yesterday...No guarantee of playing time here.
Maybe he wants to win some games? Looking at the state of that program, I'm not sure playing time thee means a damn thing. You're better off going somewhere and competing and being a part of a winning program. Go there, there's no guarantee of playing time as your potentially looking at whole new coaching staff next year.

If he had more than one year of eligibility, I would agree with you. But why is he transferring in the first place? Presumably it is an issue of playing time (does he want a shot at the NFL?)...He certainly has a chance of starting here (would have to jump Travis Howard and Corey Brown) but it would be pretty much a guarantee at TSUN.

I don't think he can redshirt b/c he already has (unless he can get a medical redshirt).

I've read he's still battling homesickness as well, so there's that. Maybe he really does want to be a part of a winner. Maybe he really regrets choosing fsu over tOSU in the first place.

As for scUM, he doesn't necessarily have a clearer path to pt there next season. Here both starters will likely be gone. Up at scUM, Woolfolk will presumably be back after a med rs, then there are several youngsters that will be receiving a baptism by fire this season who may well be entrenched next spring. He'll have to come in and fight in both places.
