CB Devon Torrence (official thread)

I may be wrong, but I thought they both are juniors.
I think he's saying Chimdi will go Pro and Torrence will stay and be the #1 CB for us next year.

While DT had an AMAZING game I still think the Def POW shoulda gone to Heyward, that dude just dominated the best OL in CFB.

I loved what I saw from Torrence for sure. He really looks the part of a shutdown corner and he really hasn't looked bad on any play that I can remember. Whether he matched up against Ausberry or Williams, he seemed to win the battles. I also like Amos and at this point, I totally agree with a rotation, as I think both are legit.

Devon Torrence could fill that role. He isn?t an all-star just yet, but look for cornerback Devon Torrence to make that kind of a jump heading into next season. With Coleman gone, the Buckeyes will need someone to step up and make plays in the secondary, and Torrence looks like the guy to do that. He is big and fast and always seems to be around the football. Unlike most corners, Torrence doesn?t shy away from contact, but his biggest asset is the way he attacks the ball like he did on the interception in the end zone Saturday. He still has to work on his coverage in the short passing game, and he did give up a long one last week to the Hawkeyes, but Torrence should be Ohio State?s best all-around defensive back next season.
