Great commit! I wonder what he'll be rated when the recruiting sites see some of his highlight films. I'm thinking around a 3 star(which is still pretty damn good)

point taken, but you will admit that there are examples of Ohio early commits that are ranked inexplicably low, Mike Adams is the one that comes to my mind

yeah, adams early ranking made no sense. i remember rivals wrote that he was one of the best offensive linemen out of ohio in the past few years yet still had him rated toward the end of their top 100 players before the army game.

Rogers' Gambrell commits to Ohio State
By RYAN AUTULLO BLADE SPORTS WRITER

Gambrell

Yesterday morning at about 9, Rogers football coach Rick Rios instructed one of his star players into his office.

Ohio State coach Jim Tressel was waiting on the phone.

What began as routine chatter between Tressel and Rams junior DerJuan "Peewee" Gambrell soon turned into a deeper discussion. Gambrell, a junior defensive star, verbally committed to Tressel and the Buckeyes about a month after receiving a scholarship offer from the program he has longed revered.

"I knew [I'd accept] when they first offered me," Gambrell said. "I had to talk it over with my family, and they were OK with it."
A reigning Division I regional 400-meter track champion, Gambrell, who has posted a time of 4.5 seconds in the 40-yard dash, is undecided whether he'll participate in track at Ohio State.

The only way I see this kid getting to the 4 star status, is if he goes to some elite camps and absolutely shuts it down! I don't think at this time he's a 4 star guy, but that's just my opinion. Not saying that he couldn't grow and mature into a stud, but I don't think many of the evaluators are going to put him over many of the guys that currently rated pretty high for DBs.
Matter of fact, has Peewee even been scouted by the sites yet? I see him having 1 or no stars on various sites
