CB Cameron Brown (Arlington Renegades)

FATALITY. It looks like the Buckeyes ain't quite done beating Michigan this week as Cam Brown put Michigan receiver Donavan Peoples-Jones in a bodybag online.

Brown posted a photo on Instagram featuring himself lining up against DPJ on Saturday, and Peoples-Jones took the opportunity to toss a jab at the Buckeye corner in the comments.

The conversation did not end well for him.

"It's probably one of yo 5 drops" doesn't have quite the same ring as "shit happens, bum juice," but I'll take it.

If White doesn’t play now why would he play in the future? He was one of a few good players who consistently looked good last year on an atrocious unit and somehow faded away under this staff.

This probably needs split off but it just seems like White is a tweener in this defense. Interested to see if he can make a move once the entire secondary moves on in spring.

To get back on topic I really like what little bit we have gotten to see of Brown who once was a Nebraska wr Verbal out of HS. Also a HS teammate of Kamryn Babb

CB Cameron Brown, CB Sevyn Banks

As Damon Arnette and Jeff Okudah both leave Columbus and head to the NFL, Ohio State will have two new cornerbacks when it opens the season in September. Shaun Wade will be the headliner of the secondary for the Buckeyes as the only starter returning to a dominant defense from last season. Cameron Brown became the third outside cornerback for the Buckeyes as the season went on and made plays in his little playing time against Ohio State’s best opponents. Sevyn Banks found the field sparingly when the Buckeyes had a lead, but he got his hands on the ball with an interception. Both will have to see expanded roles next season as Ohio State excepts to continue excellence in the secondary that dominated so many teams last year.

Cameron Brown will ease cornerback concerns
There isn’t a position of weakness on a roster with as much talent as Ohio State has on hand. But it’s true that the secondary is largely unproven heading into spring camp with Jeff Okudah and Damon Arnette both gone at cornerback and Jordan Fuller no longer at safety. That’s a lot of production to replace, but the Buckeyes should be absolutely fine — and the emergence of Cameron Brown should go a long way to easing any concerns about the defensive backfield this offseason. Brown has all the tools needed to be a shutdown corner, and Kerry Coombs has proven several times over that he knows how to mold that talent and maximize potential. Sevyn Banks is another guy the Buckeyes will likely be counting on in the competition for playing time, but Brown has a chance to make a big move and potentially claim a starting spot by April.
