One of my best friends works for a sports agency here in Columbus and he told me last night that they are anxiously waiting on a decision from both Ashton and Donte Whitner.

- Youboty leaving now, will benefit him just like it did Gamble. He won't be drafted as high as Gamble, but staying another year may prove to scouts that he's not worth a high draft pick, rather than disprove it.

This may be a Gamble type of situation. Youboty hasn't had near the hype that Gamble had, but here are the similarities:
- billed as a promising lock down corner, and came up with big plays in big games as a sophomore.
- Exposed at times, and even targeted in his junior year.
- NFL teams will draft high based on potential, and by staying another year, with a lot of key guys up front graduating, and one if not both safeties being gone as well, he runs the risk of getting burnt more regularly than he did before.

Pretty sure you realize that that's not where I was going with that. I'm just saying that he may not want to take the risk of getting caught on a defense that can't offer the kind of QB pressure that this one did, or even offer the safety help that this one did. Especially if Whitner goes too.- So, you're saying that Youboty actually sucks and should declare for the draft before the NFL realizes how bad he is? You may not mean that, but that's how it comes off. Youboty is indeed a very solid corner who needs to get his confidence back with a good senior year. If he plays well in his senior year, he's almost a lock to go within the first two rounds, and be far ahead of where he'd go this year.
That being the case, then I say he will stay. I don't think there's much chance he'll go first round.
