Well looks like we caught a break.

I highly doubt that O'Neal plays tomorrow. Along with hyperextending his knee he also has fluids in it, which doesnt feel good at all. The Heat have nothing to play for so I dont think he will risk it.

With Zo out with a torn calf Z should have a big game if Shaq doesn't play either. I doubt Miami will want to do anything to risk Shaq since Zo will be out for at least the rest of the season. Out of the 11 remaining games the Cavs have 4 maybe 5 big ones. Miami, Detroit, Washington, NJ, and maybe the Sixers (just to show they can slow down AI) are the only remaining big tests before the playoffs. You know that Hughes will want to be back to 100% for the Wizards game so I just hope he doesn't push too hard. NJ and Washington have been hot of late so it would be big to beat both of them. I know it might be pushing it, but it would be great if Hughes could put in some minutes against NJ to help defend their guards. I just checked the schedule and the Cavs lost to NJ both times that they played them with Hughes and beat them when Pavlovic was starting so I might be full of shit. :p The Cavs need to go into Detroit and show that they are willing to play physical against them and they won't be a pushover in the second round. IMO the Cavs are one of the teams that have what it takes to beat the Pistons, but they will need production out of their main 9 players.
I'm really looking forward to seeing Lebron, Hughes, and Murray get some playing time together. All 3 can cause havoc on both ends of the court. Mix those 3 with Z and Marshall if he can get hot and you have a deadly offensive lineup.

I believe the one lose to NJ was when Vince Carter was throwing up fade away 3's from 30 ft and they were going down. It didnt matter who was on him and how closely guarded he was he wasnt missing that nite.

I agree with pretty much everything you said. I cant even name the Heats 3rd center. I think we are a better team than New Jersey, but head-to-head we just dont match up well, and they also have been on fire as of late like you said.

Our whole team is playing better right now. Snows on the ball defense has been very good lately, he always has a hand right in the face of the player hes guarding. Lebrons also playing the best defense the last couple of weeks. Marshall and Jones also are heating up, especially Jones which is huge.

Rasheed Wallace has been in a slump for the last few games, hopefully that continues for the rest of the year. Snow also plays good defense on Billups when we play the Pistons. It should be a tough game, hopefully our team doesnt back down when the Pistons start getting physical.

It should be a fun couple of weeks, hopefully we can hold on to that 4th seed. I also think its bogus how Lebron isnt getting that much MVP talk. Without Lebron the Cavs are slightly above the Bobcats and Knicks. Some idiot on ESPN yesterday said that Dwayne Wade should be the MVP, despite the fact that he has Shaq on his team. I guess he doesnt remember the beginning of the year when they were slightly above 500 because Shaq wasnt playing...

I think I would rather finish this season out with him not getting the hype of mvp b/c he has enough on his shoulders and then next year let the hype begin at the beginning of the season, but I agree it is ridiculous that someone that is going to finish the season 30/31 pts, 7 reb, and 6.5 ast. per game isnt mentioned and he is the only allstar on his team unlike Nash, Billups, and Wade. You could argue that Z should of been an allstar tho.

I have to give Nash some credit for making the most out of the talent around him. Who did they have at the beginning of the season besides Marion? If you take Wade away from the Heat they would still be in the playoffs. If you take Billups away from Detroit they would still be one of the best teams in the NBA. Hell the 4 all-stars from the Pistons + Lebron were able to basically win the all-star game for the East.

Yeah I think Nash deserves the MVP, I just find it ridiculous that he is not being mentioned.

James put in tight spot

Legwear worn by Cavaliers star goes on NBA's banned apparel list

By Brian Windhorst

Beacon Journal sportswriter

CLEVELAND - Alert Joan Rivers and Mr. Blackwell: LeBron James' on-court fashion faux pas are over.
The NBA will be banning tights next season, according to a report on ESPN.com. That means James and his contemporary stars' efforts to make support hose cool have been nixed.
Much to the dismay of Nike, which was getting upward of $35 a pair for them while their signature stars sported them during games this season, they've apparently gone the way of throwback jerseys and gold and diamond chains: On to the NBA's banned apparel list.
James, Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade -- whom he'll face tightless today at 2 p.m. when the Miami Heat visit Quicken Loans Arena -- and the Los Angeles Lakers' Kobe Bryant were some of the big names that have worn tights this season.
James wore his, in three different colors, for eight games in January and February. He said they helped him keep his bruised knee warm, but they also had a superstitious quality to be sure. The Cavs won the first seven games he played with them, and he stopped after their first loss.
``I don't see a reason why,'' James said Friday. ``Guys are not just wearing them just because they're trying to make a fashion statement because they're not cute at all.''
It is his contention the tights have a therapeutic value and are more than a trendy look sported by sleek-legged stars. There is probably truth in both.
Numerous injured and non-injured players have worn them during the season.
``They're comfortable and they kept my legs warm,'' James said. ``When you have a knee injury or a leg injury, your leg can get stiffed up and go cold again. I need to look good when I play and I didn't look good when I had those on.''
Hughes back, Shaq not
Shaquille O'Neal did not practice with the Heat on Friday at Quicken Loans Arena. He has a swollen left knee and is listed as questionable for today's game.
O'Neal hurt the knee Monday and did not play Wednesday in Toronto.
Larry Hughes took part in the Cavs' workout, which mostly was non-contact shooting work. He's still on schedule to return sometime in the next week.
Rested and ready
The Cavs had two days off to prepare for the Heat, a circumstance that has led to success this season. When the Cavs have had two days off, or more, to prepare for an opponent, they are 15-4. Certainly extra rest has something to do with it, but it also gives them a chance to have a full-length practice and correct mistakes.
``When we've been able to get practice time in, it has been productive,'' Cavs coach Mike Brown said. ``And we've been able to game plan a little better against our opponents.''
Mbenga suspended
Dallas Mavericks forward DJ Mbenga had his flagrant foul on James in the fourth quarter of the Cavs' victory Wednesday upgraded by NBA vice president Stu Jackson on Friday.
Jackson suspended him for the Mavericks' game Friday in Orlando.
Following an incident a month ago, Jackson upgraded Rasheed Wallace's flagrant foul on Zydrunas Ilgauskas but didn't suspend him. Wallace's hit seemed to be more vicious and intentional.
``I had nothing to do with that,'' James said. ``I guess they viewed it as intentional; I didn't.''
