This team is horrible, its that simple.
Come on lets not get carried away here... they are not a horrible team or else they wouldn't be in position for a playoff spot right now. They are a streaky team, Jekyll and Hyde. One day they play to the level of an NBA championship team (see New Years Eve against the Pistons), and the next day they play to the level of a college team (see last night and December 13th against the Hawks). This is really going to test Mike Brown in his first season as coach to see if he can make this team play like they are capable of EVERY night. Should be interesting to see how the rest of this season plays out.

They lost to Golden State by 20.... a Golden State team without Baron Davis.

On this losing streak, they are losing to crappy teams, its one thing to losing to a Miami, SA, or Detroit. The offensive executive is disgusting, there is no off-the-ball movement. The defense is horrendous also, ive never seen so many wide open three's in my life, there were two players that couldve hurt us last night, and they were wide open all night. Im really questioning Mike Browns coaching ability, does this team even practice?

No question about that, and I totally agree with you... however by calling them a horrible team, that deals with the talent level. The talent is there, but the desire to win and execution... not so much.

Much like everyone was questioning Silas last year, when we started slumping. I honestly cannot blame this one on the coach. I think the team just needs to grow up.

We all know LBJ could be a defensive specialist.
We all know Donyell, Damon, Luke, Sasha can shoot the 3 ball, well why can't they make them. They have all the damn time in the world to work on thier shot.
It is like this team shut down after teh loss of Hughes and a couple games.

They need to get the ship righted and get back to playing how they were.

The one thing that does disturb me about Mike Brown is why the hell he wont play Luke and Anderson. They bring that energy to the game that this team is seriously lacking.

Lebron James physically is the most dominate SF/G in the NBA. Hes 6'8", 250 lbs, and runs like someone that size shouldnt be allowed too. But hes repeatedly just blown by on the defensive end by the other player. On offense, you cant blame him. Hes getting double and even triple teamed every time he touches the ball, but no one else other than Z can hit a freaking remotely outside shot. Im questioning Brown because simply fundamentals like boxing out and such are lacking every night we play.

The thing I don't like is their is no creativity on offense. I can give it to you in about 3 seconds.

Snow walks the ball up the court, there is a brush screen to have someone pop out, then they look for Z, but half the time people forget he is down there, then with 10 sec. left on the shot clock they pass the ball to LBJ, who dribbles up top, he makes one little move and then either shots an ill advised shot or hits a open teammate and right now shots arent falling.

To get rid of the double teams they need to run him off screens, with curl type cuts, he gets the ball the defender comes and he can hit the guy coming off the screen. The guy who man goes to double also needs to cut to the damn whole instead of standing behind the 3 pt. line everytime.

Then we need to tell LBJ to get in the post. There is no one and I mean no one that could hold him in the post one on one. And in the post it is easier to hit a cutter coming to the basket and shooter usually shoot better when a pass comes from inside out, or at least I always did.

I just dont get what the hell Mike Brown has the team do a practice. They cant hit free throws, box out, hit wide open shots or anything. I love watching Phoenix play, now that is a great team, because they execute on offense and have very effective plays.

I honestly think a lot of it is just not being mentally tough. They are in a slump, much like in Baseball when a hitter can't seem to hit the ball or a pitcher can't find the plate.

They need to overcome it, and when one guy is down the whole team shouldnt be.

3 close games like that can really hurt the mental part of the game.

If I remember correct after we lost to ATL early we went on a nice little run, so that is what I am hoping for here.

Nice game tonite, by the Cavs. LBJ was playing like he is capable of and Marshall had a good nite to go with it.

I still can't figure out why Brown wont play Jackson and Varejao.

I don't get it either. I would rather see Jackson out there than Pavlovic. Maybe they figure they have to make a decision on Pav this season, while they still have a couple years on Jackson. On the bright side it looks like Brown is shifting the lineup around trying to find the best fit. Jones is much better off the bench and Newble has no offensive game so it hopefully is up to Pavlovic and Jackson to fight it out at SG while Hughes is out. I guess I would be happy if either of them could step up.
Brown put Varejao in earlier on Friday night when he needed a spark off the bench and Wild Thing didn't disappoint. I just can't understand why he isn't playing more. Good things usually happen when he's playing and I don't think he is any worse at offense than Henderson.

Yeah like last nite, Z got those two early fouls and he didnt put him in. Henderson is solid, but Varejao brings that energy they need.

As for Sasha vs. Jackson, Why split the PT, until once proves they are better.

SALT LAKE CITY - LeBron James scored 51 points, becoming the youngest player in NBA history with 5,000 in his career, and the Cleveland Cavaliers snapped a six-game losing streak Saturday night by beating the Utah Jazz, 108-90.
James wasn’t even sure he would play because of a sore right knee. It looked fine as James and the Cavaliers avoided going winless on a six-game road trip.
Saturday marked the third time James has scored 50 or more points in his career, but the first time the Cavs won the game. James left to a standing ovation with 1:35 remaining, and the Cavs won for the first time since Jan. 7. James, who turned 21 on Dec. 30, needed 45 points to pass Kobe Bryant as the youngest player to reach 5,000. Bryant was 22 when he did it. Visit www.cantonrep.com for more details.
