Marshall to Cavs
They still need a pg. Snow is a turd. Good enough to come off the bech toplay D but he can't shoot a lick. I've heard they're going to make an offer to Jaric on Friday.

I think Gooden is still on the way out, Maybe in a sign and trade with LAC. They're out of regular cap room to sign Jaric or Jesakieviecshk (whatever), so I think they may be exploring a SnT to get a pg.

It now appears that Jasikevicius is going to be the starter at the point. He's weak on D, but Brown seems to think he can improve his (Sarunas') defense. If you remember him from last years WC, he was all over the place and had his way with the U.S players. He also played very well against the NBA players in the last Olympics. So, it now looks like the starting 5 will be:
Z
Marshall/Gooden
LeBron
Hughes
Jasikevicius
Now, I'd like to see Tractor com back to town and maybe trade Gooden. Then put 'Wild Thing' as the backup to Marshall.
Cavs pg
If Larry Bird calls him the best Euro, non NBA player, then that's good enough for me.

I am extremely excited about this pair of moves (assuming the Jasikevicius signing is true)!
My only hope is they can unload Gooden so Anderson Varajeo (sp?) can develop more.

What ya mean filled up the roster? Under the new CBA they now have 14 roster spots. But then again they can be filled with a backup C and a young kid from their summer league.exhawg said:
But what do you trade Gooden for? A more solid PF that is defensive minded and will be happy just cleaning up the boards and hitting layups. But, I still think Marshall should not be the starting PF. He is more of a 6th man type that can come off the bench to give us outside shooting.
The ony good thing is Brown has said he would much rather get a gifted shooter and teach him defense than to get a defensive minded player and teach him to shoot. Makes me think he is very confident in his ability to coach and teach players the finer points of defense.
