Cavs-Hawks Second round series

Most likely IMO:

Though it wouldn't shock me to see ATL pull one out at home.

I don't think the Hawks match up very well against the Cavs. The Cavs can match on D at any position, and ATL clearly has no match for LBJ. The Cavs might end up breaking the record for most-rested playoff team ever

ATL will be clubbed like baby seals the first two games in Cleveland. They may win game 3, or 4 but not both, and this series will be over in 5. Really shouldn't go to, or past six. A sweep wouldn't totally shock me, but that's not what I'm banking on. The Hawks are athletic, and with the right mind set are a tough team, they just aren't mentally strong.

[sarcasm]It'll be over in 2. Cavs win the first two by about 100 each. Then the Hawks quit.[/sarcasm]

Seriously though, I think it'll be over in five. The first game will be pretty close, because the Cavs will be rusty, then they blow them out in game 2. Game 3, the Hawks have so much energy from being at home and just being embarrassed in game 2, so they'll win that. Cavs win 4 and 5.

I'd be very surprised if ATL didn't take one or two in Atlanta. They're that good at home. Just sayin...
10th best home record in the NBA including a loss to the Cavs and already lost a playoff game at home by 15 to the Heat. Good at home, not great. I'd be much more surprised by the Cavs not winning game 3 or 4 than by Atlanta losing at least one of those games.

I'd be very, very suprised if there was a sweep. Atlanta played the Cavs very tough at home this year. They beat the Cavs once and lost the 2nd game by 1 point. The loss in Atlanta, imo, was a result of the Cavs taking them too lightly.

The first game in Cleveland was a 14 point Cavs win, the second was only a 6 point win, but the Cavs had a near 30 point lead throughout the game and was only close because the bottom feeders let them make the game appear closer.

If Atlanta plays anywhere near the way they played against Miami, they'll get blown out in the series. I don't think LBJ and Mike Brown will stand for any kind of letdown in any game.

As a homer, I would really like to say a 4 game sweep, but looking objectively, I say the Cavs win in 5.

I'm stuck between 4 or 5 games and I don't feel good enough about either to put money on it. I'm looking forward to the game bets for this one.
I just hope the Celtics and Magic beat the crap out of each other like the Celtics and Bulls did. It will be nice to see them play every other day for a week or two again.

Cavs in 7.

Last years Celtics team was light years better than this years Cavs team and the Hawks are better this year with the addition of Mo Williams, Mario West and Flip Murray (and the subtraction of Josh Childress).

Atlanta wins every game at home and Cleveland sweeps at the Q

Last years Celtic team beat the Cavs in 7 with Damon Jones as a Cav. Light years? This Cavs team is light years ahead of last years team. I can appreciate you supporting your team but no way , as inconsistent as the Hawks are, do they sniff a game 7 in this series.

This isn't my praise of the Hawks - this is my praise of the Celtics of 08.
Three hall of famers in the starting lineup and a very, very deep bench.

Boston won it all with a Rookie at PG (Rondo has greatly improved this year) and a terrible head coach (nobody thinks much of DR). They were the ultimate savvy veteren team that knew when to turn it on and off.

Rondo wasn't a rook last year.

The Celtics went to seven games against a pretty horrible Atlanta team and against a Cavs team that is leagues worse than this years version.

Just correcting some facts you seem to be ignoring.
