Cavs 09-10 Season (official thread)

It will be interesting to see how the Cavs look against the Raptors tonight. Hopefully they can avenge the loss from game 2 now that Mike Brown has a better feel for his rotations against more athletic teams. I would love to beat them so bad that Bosh demands a trade to Cleveland afterward. :p

Take this with a grain of salt:

NBA - Pro Basketball - Rumors - FanNation

A league source said the Cavs have made a run at Hornets power forward David West. The Cavs are dangling center Zydrunas Ilgauskas out there for the Hornets, who want to avoid paying the luxury tax at all cost. The Hornets could buy out Ilgauskas' contract and waive him. Then he could return to the Cavs in 30 days. The Morning Journal

The really fun part is reading the comments. Aside from their obvious misunderstanding of how trades work in the NBA, these people think Danny Ferry is the worst GM in the league for supposedly failing to surround LeBron with stars. I have never run into a Cavs fan who think Ferry is doing a bad job. I'm pretty sure that place is crawling with two types of people:

  1. Knicks fans who apparently have no shame in trying to say that the Cavs have an amateur front office, thinking that LeBron should play for a first class () franchise like theirs. Nevermind that the Cavs take on bad contracts and flip them for productive players like Delonte West and Mo Williams, while their team flips bad contracts for more bad contracts and sucks balls in the process.
  2. Celtics fans who don't realize that not every team out there has a former franchise great GMing another team that they're willing to run off a cliff to give them a star player.
I know comments have already been made to this effect, but I only want to see Z traded if they know he'll be bought out so he can come back. I know that pre-arranging that is technically illegal even though it's done all the time. I want to see him finish his career as a Cav, and he can still contribute off the bench.

Hard to guard Kobe if you cant touch him.

Hopefully its not like this the rest of the game. He either comes down and nails a jumpshot or gets to the line on a touch foul

EDIT: We just witnessed the worst call ever.

Ever.

Was that post before or after the Shaq foul? I liked the refs from the first game. No ticky tack fouls both ways. Why do the Cavs NEVER get home court refs?
