Cavs 09-10 Season (official thread)

I hate Mile Brown.

Yep. Among other things, I hate how he sits LeBron at the same damn time every game, despite any loss in momentum. So what if the other guys "need to learn how to play without LeBron on the floor"? He's been trying to teach that lesson since he got here, and clearly it still hasn't sunk in yet. And while that happens he continues to let scrub teams hang around, erase leads or take one of their own while his best player sits. I know he needs to get rest, but do it when your team is up 15 - and if you do it when you're up 15, don't wait until you're down 5 to goddamn do something about it.

Did you see that Mike Brown? On the most important poseession of the game, LeBron just did EVERYTHING. He was the primary ball handler, he got the pass into Shaq, and the he to the offensive rebound off Shaq miss and followed up for the score. With a guy like that on your team, do you think it might not have even come down to this shit if you bring him off the bench with 10 mins. left instead of 8?

He should be matching wits with high school coaches, not NBA coaches.

Ha! Even HS coaches know that when it counts or when things aren't going well it's time to put your best player back in the game.

This is the goddamn NBA. Most teams you play against don't even really give a shit until the 4th quarter. Steal some minutes on the bench for your starters during that time rather than when the other team is playing with some intensity.

NFBuck - true...come playoff time it's as if EVERY team has a schematic coaching advantage against the Cavs.

Speaking of... It'd be interesting to see who would win a seven game series between Mike Brown and Charlie Weis. Weis was a HS basketball coach for a year once.

Last years team was as close to a hands off team as a coach will get...tremendous chemistry, strong leader, superstar player...all they needed was a coach capable of tweaking some things and recognizing some assignment changes that were necessary. He failed miserably and was taken to school by Ron freakin' Jeremy. He should have been fired after that series.
