Most fans to you of anything seem "pathetic" so I'm sure that they will fit your descriptiontibor75;1211950; said:Uh, no. Unless these "bungle" fans are pathetic OSU fans.

I actually like Palmer, I just have a problem with the hypocrisy in his comments. There is irony/hypocrisy in putting down the arrogance of one fanbase, while being arrogant about your own school.
Palmer, Brown sound off on OSU vs. USC
All in good fun: QB rips OSU to Trojan audience; team president gives Palmer a history lesson.

CINCINNATI ? Bengals quarterback Carson Palmer may want to moonlight as a cornerback. He's smooth with his backpedal.
After ripping Ohio State on a Los Angeles radio station ? the Buckeyes visit Southern Cal on Sept. 13 ? Palmer softened his stance in the face of a brutal backlash.
"I'm a Trojan all the way, and I was talking to a Trojan audience in California," Palmer said. "I guess I got a little fired up, as all good fans will do.
"But I really do respect the Buckeyes, and I know their fans are passionate, too. I hope they all understand I'm just looking forward to a big game for my school against a very tough opponent, and that it's all in the good fun of a rivalry. You don't have a real rivalry unless both sides are great teams."
Bengals president Mike Brown gave Palmer a history lesson on Tuesday, July 22. Brown's father, Paul Brown, was head coach at Ohio State from 1941-43, guiding the Buckeyes to the 1942 national title.
"(Palmer) might not know that my dad coached at Ohio State and beat USC two years in a row, 33-0 and 28-12," Brown said. "If he wants to make something over that, he knows where he can find me.

Palmer's OSU rant shows a lapse in judgment

Bengals quarterback Carson Palmer, a proud Southern Cal alum, went too far in his rant against Ohio State.
Yes, he's since backpedaled and it was mainly all in fun, but I don't think he was smiling when he said what he said and it came off as vicious. "I can't believe he ripped the Buckeyes like that," one disheartened OSU fan who also roots for the Bengals told me Tuesday. "He's right in the heart of Buckeye nation!"
In case you missed it, Palmer said this, among other things, to a Los Angeles radio station:
"I cannot stand the Buckeyes. It's amazing to hear what those guys think about that university and what they think about that football program and (OSU coach Jim) Tressel and all the crap I gotta put up with being back there. ... I'm really getting sick of it."
It was as vitriolic a tirade as anyone's heard out of Palmer on any subject.

Carson's a good man
OK, Buckeye fans, put yourself in this scenario:
You're an Ohio State alum, a lifelong diehard Buckeyes follower.
You live in Florida. You have to live with Gators fans, harassing you daily about the SEC's dominance, about how bad the Big Ten is, about the Buckeyes' weak schedule.
Would that not drive you nuts?
Now, you're back home in Ohio on vacation, and a former college roommate of yours has a radio talk show. He calls you up and asks you if you have to curtail your Ohio State fan-dom when you're in Florida.
What would you say? Heck no, is what you would say, I can't stand those stinkin' Gators. I can't wait to play them again, and I hope we kick their butts and send them back to SEC country with their tails between their legs.
Isn't that what you would say?
