It's amazing how well that deal ended up working out for the Cavs. They give up Boo$er and Tony Battie and get Gooden and Wild Thing. Hindsight is 20/20, but how bad would is suck paying out the ass for Boo$er to be injured all the time. I can't even imagine what the Cavs lineup would look like if Boo$er had never screwed them over.

how can anyone hate boozer for taking more money? its not like he ever signed a deal. all the blame should be put on paxsons shoulders for not getting a writen contract.

Don't be ridiculous. He would have made pennies last year if Cleveland hadn't done him the favor of not exercising their option on the justified assumption that Boozer would sign a long term deal.

The only way the Cavs wouldn't exercise that option was if they received some sort of verbal assurance. He's a lying, backstabbing son of a bitch, and he's getting the karma he deserves.

FUCK THAT LOOZER!!

I don't have a problem with a guy taking more money. The problem here is that he was under contract for last year. They basically ripped up that contract b/c it was known he should be making more than what he was making so they were working on a long term deal and instead he slipped out the door and went to Utah b/c they over payed him. Now he is getting what he deserved. Playing for a shitty team and hardly playing b/c of injury.

I guess payback is a bitch.

O and by the way, just one more time for the thread fuck Boozer.

I currently work for Wal-Mart. If Target offered me more money, I would be gone yesterday.

The fans have loyalty, not the players...well, at least most of them don't.

I have no problem with players leaving for more money, that's how professional sports work. I have problems with players saying they'll sign a new contract if you rip up their current shitty contract then changing their mind and taking more money elsewhere. On the other hand the Cavs are better for Boo$er leaving so all I can do now is point and laugh at him sitting behind the bench in a suit while the Cavs run to the playoffs. Fucker (sorry it slipped)

Exactly, it seems most dont know the actual story. Gund was trying to help out Boozer, who was making under $1,000,000 for the next season. Of course, first Boozer and Gund made a verbal agreement that if Gund would rip up his contract and give me a bigger deal, than Boozer would sign it because Gund was obviously just trying to help him out and sign him for what hes worth.

Boozer and his agent lied to a blind man, its that simple.

they still should have gotten him to sign that deal right away. instead paxson got lazy and didnt get it inked and someone offered more and they lost him. boozer may be a dickhead for leaving but its not like he did anything wrong. he didnt back out of a signed deal or demand to be traded.

That's exactly the point here, though: nobody's advocating Boozer's arrest or a lawsuit for taking the bigger money from the Jazz--we're saying he's a dickhead! And if you don't think being a dickhead and breaking your word are "wrong", then this is an agree-to-disagree situation.
