Cardinals at Bengals(-4.5)

another crazy scenario is Bengals Loss + Jets Loss + Raiders Loss OR Broncos Loss = Bengals in playoff

Not even that crazy. Jets are just as inconsistent as the Bengals.. Throw Broncos and Raiders in that category as well. It's going to be an absolute free for all in the last week of the season. Here's to hoping it's not blacked out next week!

Bengals get flexed to 4:15 kickoff...Jets/Phins 1 still....

so Bengals will know by 4:15 if it's a must win
Well...not really. Even though it would be nice if the Dolphins lose, the Bengals still wouldn't be in.

Late games that affect the Bengals with a Jets loss:

Chiefs vs. Broncos
Chargers vs. Raiders

If the Bengals win, obviously they are in.

If Bengals lose, then to get in they need Jets to lose, and Broncos OR Raiders to lose.

I think there is a decent chance that even if the Bengals lose, that one of these options happen...but how about the Bengals actually go into the playoffs on a hot streak for once and do it for themselves!!!

What sucks is that the Ravens still have A LOT to play for. Ravens win and they get the 2nd seed, if they lose they get the 5th seed unless the Browns beat the Steelers. And Browns/Steelers is at 4:15, and it's pretty obvious who is going to win that game, so Ravens are going to be going hard. But they know that if they lose, they are still in. Bengals should play with a much greater sense of urgency. Ravens suck on the road!!! Bengals can do it!

If the Bengals win, they get to play the Texans...a reeling team and a good chance at payback. Hoping this is the year they win a playoff game. It's been 21 years! Plus then they'd get to go play New England in Foxboro. That'd be fun!

Q: Did the NFL move all the games (but one) to Saturday to help the NBA out?

I mean, this is the league that played games while John F. Kennedy lay in state, so playing on Christmas is no big deal. (and they've played on Christmas Day in the past)

Anybody know?

First off, I think the statute of limitations has expired on playing when Kennedy lay in state so that fact is irrelevant to the people currently running the NFL. Secondly, I sincerely doubt they were concerning themselves with the welfare of the NBA when the NFL set its schedule last March.

I didn't care enough about it to research the matter but I suspect it had everything to do with the NFL (and the TV networks) thinking they would get better game attendance and TV ratings by playing on Saturday, Christmas Eve. Isn't that what its typically about in sports these days?
