But it will happen. The string will be broken. The loss of Mallet made sure it could not happen this year. Firing Ron English, who had done much to bring back a sagging defense, was stupid. Now they've lost their best running back and sacked the defensive coordinator.
All in all I'd say it looks like a good five years before the program will be back on even footing, which is not to say there won't be a W for Michigan in that period of time, but is stating that it will have to be an upset.
