Cam Newton (QB New England Patriots)

Now isn't that an interesting development?

Slive has a very important decision to make. Allow Auburn to play in the SEC Title Game for a shot at the BCS Title, or declare LSU the SEC West Champion, since it might be better to have LSU win that game and lobby for a BCS Title shot over Boise State and TCU, than to have Auburn stripped later of whatever they win this year. An Auburn loss to Bama, and I think a lot of voters will drop Auburn outside the top-5 to make sure they don't sniff the BCS Title Game.

But is Slive too busy covering his own ass in the federal investigation?

A conference commissioner can't boot a team from postseason play because a player might be ineligible. Slive does that and the NCAA finds Newton was eligible all along and the SEC is toast.

This sucks. What the hell do I have to do to be a Southern Gambling Baron? I'd love to gain 80 lbs, dye my hair silver gray and build a casino to fund Bulldog football

Look at how much fun this asshole is having - HE OWNS HIS OWN CASINO!

This coming from you, Gator? GTFO as you live off that in many of your posts. :roll1:

Sorry I missed the one player from Mississippi this year, but there have been many instances where your SEC brethren have cried foul (Dorsey getting the Hi-Lo is one example) where the SEC did nothing, nada, zilch. So don't act all high and mighty that I missed ONE instance of the SEC doing the right thing.

I'm pretty sure I read his original business partner was Bear Bryant Jr? I didn't know there was a Jr but interesting if true.

There is also good reading out on the interwebs about Billy Grice who supposedly gave Boss McHogg his start. Not sure how factual any of it is. If 1/10 of its true the FBI investigating him and stumbling across the Cam Newton stuff scenario is pretty believable.

Just in case you skipped over my reply...

As individual pieces of this story start to be proven as fact, it certainly lends credibility to the rest of the pieces.

Auburn out of the SEC? Oklahoma in? The final death of the Big IIX dealt by Auburn, not the Big Ten+2? lol

The SEC is trying to steal our expansion thunder!! :pissed:

So the rumors aren't getting out of control or anything, there is talk about Auburn becoming unaccreddited as an academic institution:

http://www.illegalshift.com/2010/11...ton-milton-mcgregor-scandal/college-football/

People that are apparently in the know believe Auburn knows they are screwed, but instead of sitting Cam Newton for the rest of the year, they figure they?ll try to win a MNC, SEC Champ., and Heisman Trophy and deal with the consequences later. It sounds like Auburn?s President wanted to sit Cam against UGA but was overruled by Athletic Director and boosters. Auburn was threatened with loss of accreditation (academic equiv. of the death penalty) earlier this decade, but was only hit with probation. The SACS (accrediting body) would not be likely to show such leniency to this time if these stories come out as truth. So not only is Auburn looking at a possible death penalty from the NCAA, it?s possible that it could become unaccredited as an academic instritution, meaning loss of all federal funds and obviously dismissal from the SEC.
