usc has been less than dominant in a lot of games this year. if it wasnt for oregon's TE dropping the easiest catch of all time, or so. miss pulling a choke job late in the 4th, Cal would be jut another 3 loss team this year.

maybe after ou rolls usc, the pac 10 circle jerk over the trojans will end.
Please explain why when OSU had alot of close games in 02, including one at Cincy where the receiver dropped a winning TD, Buckeye posters got pissed when we were called lucky, but now we do the same to someone else?

Poor Auburn

So the Pac 10 is worse than the Big 12 and
the Big 12 is worse than the Big 10.

Cal doesn't look like they belong in the BCS right now. The way we played last night I think we could play with anyone in CFB.

the difference was that osu went 14-0 including beating miami and ending their winning streak. cal on the other hand, was lucky to have only lost once, including scraping by a poor so. miss team that had lost 4 of the last 5 going into that game, then complain about get bcs snubbed, only to get embarassed in the holiday bowl. The PAC 10 should be greatful that oregon state got to play ND, so they at least wont take an 0'fer in bowl games this year. UCLA losing to Wyoming should have been an omen of things to come.

Actually, I was refering to the USC part of your post, not Cal.
Also, yours isn't the worst I have read concerning USC.

Alot of people are picking on their conference, their SOS, their non blowout wins.

Cal is a very good team. It's not easy to match up with TTU. Cal, if it could improve in any given area (other than WR where injuries have killed them) it's defense.

Take a look at some of the numbers TTU has piled on some teams. There have been two teams in the last 2 or 3 years that have slowed TTU to a stop. OSU (Surely you recall the Time out with 23 seconds remaining in the game and the TD that followed) and OU. That's it. Cal would have beat the crap out of Michigan, Texas or any other team that's not throwing it 50 times a game. In my opinion, anyway.

Keep your eyes peeled for Marshawn Lynch's numbers next season, by the way. The kid is a good one and surpisingly, Cal has been putting up 1,000 yard rushers under Tedford like nobody's business.

I like your defense of Cal but.....

....unfortunately it just doesn't quite cut it when Cal is getting their butts kicked. Of course, last year it didn't seem to hurt Oklahoma much after they got their rear ends violated by Kansas State. Somehow OU still slithered into the game with LSU. Ah, the mysteries of the BCS!

If and only if......Usc now loses...some pollsters have a lot of explaining to do...I love seeing pac 10 teams getting creamed...I've said it a million times..It's not fair to have one seroiusly good (but unproven team) and a bunch of yo yo's...One team dominates a conference..Instead of making them play someone, we give them a national title bid...Wait a minute..no that's right last year they just gave them a national title instead.

Impossible. The Cal team I saw tonight is the same team that barely squeaked by Southern Miss. The Bears wouldn't hang with any major conference power (and no, the Pac-10 is not a major conference), much less "beat the crap" out of them.

Cal has been putting up 1,000 yard rushers under Tedford like nobody's business.

Put Hawaii in the Pac-10 and they'll put up all-world numbers, too. These guys have played NO ONE.

ah bullsfan 75 you are the one!

The oracle at Delphi, and great seer of all things! Piling on the Pac-10 sucks bandwagon! Takes real guts! Will you be back if USC beats Oklahoma for the title?

I don't have to say anything. As your boy Craig James said himself, the proof is in the pudding. After hearing all year about how Cal and USC are two of the Greatest Teams in the Nation, having played only one quality opponent - each other - we naysayers have a right to question the Myth. Face it - Cal is basically Hawaii minus Timmy Chang.

Will you be back if USC beats Oklahoma for the title?

Absolutely. I'm betting Oklahoma, and I'll take my medicine if they lose.

Bullsfan,

I think Va. Tech, as ACC champ, rates as a quality opponent. Although USC was the beneficiary of a momentum changing phantom offensive interference call in the third quarter, just before Norm Chow got Reggie Bush isolated a couple of times.

Very true. I was referencing the media spin of USC/Cal dominance, not the overall team schedules. Va Tech was a big win, although, as you said, the referees had a decisive voice in the outcome.
