2026 CA WR Chris Henry Jr. Is a Buckeye!!!

Met a guy who was a salesman, and he told me that the sale doesn't begin until the prospect says "no". OK, CHJ has said No, but don't believe for an instant the recruiters out there will leave him alone. Believe that Hartline will be taking some trips out to SoCal to visit, and 'reaffirm his friendship' to tOSU. Glad CHJ has gone public with his commitment status, makes us faint of heart fans feel a tad more secure. But Hartline shouldn't rest easy, until the deal's sealed. Go Bucks!

Agree….I’ve been in sales a long time. I believe I’m pretty damn good at it. The single most predictive trait in great salesmen is refusal to lose.

Are you saying you don’t listen to “no”

Or “please”

Or “stop”
It’s mostly psychological…..today’s no is tomorrow’s maybe and the day-after-tomorrow”s yes
Please begs for clarification such as “ok, just so that i understand you…..”
Stop - not the end of the line forever, but for now……which means find another pathway into the heart or head of the buyer

Most good salesmen keep all customers and prospects of potential note in their mind.

Me thinks you missed a joke there. Me thinks.

To continue the sales analogy; you also have to know who isn't a customer so you don't waste time on them.

Brian Hartline is selling something that others aren't.

Henry and other elite, hungry WRs that want the Hartline/OSU development package simply are not a customer of these other guys. The way I look at things, if my competitors want to invest a lot of resources trying to work on non-customers then let them.

True above. We see the 1st rounders getting the glory, but the guys that don't quite tip the pail at tOSU, going elsewhere and doing well. Guess am as proud of that as the NFLers getting big bucks. Shows the solidity (is that a word?) of the WR program under Hartline. Hope the WR room doesn't lose any of this, due to Brian's ascension to OC. Go Bucks!
