2026 CA WR Chris Henry Jr. Is a Buckeye!!!

seems like a compelling sales pitch
Definitely a smart kid recognizing the benefits of Hartline's promotion to OC. Assuming this commitment sticks (and for the record, I think it will), it's insane to think about adding Henry to JJ, Tate and Innis (and others). And yes, I am putting Henry in the category of a frosh that will play right away given his talent and polish if he is a willing blocker.

CHjr is so interesting, because it shows that a kid will be who is regardless of his mentors. Many thought he would mirror Pacman Jones' loud brash style, or inherit his dad's immaturity, but he's been his own man. He's quiet, mature, cerebral and has a plan for his future. Regardless of Pacman's antics, he's been a great student and young man and you can't help but commend him for that. He's on his 3rd HS in 3yrs, and living in his 3rd state in 4yrs as well, and living with his 2nd set of family's. But it seems like he's always had a great village around him to raise him, and the former Bengals have really looked out for CHjr's entire family, not just him. His sister seems to be doing well at OSU, his little brother is making a name for himself on the hardwood, and his mom has steadily guided him while entrusting her deceased husband's former teammates with guiding her son

Yeah to all above. Let Hartline spend practice time working with the WRs, and then after everyone showers up, go to his office and work-up the offensive game plan on overtime (salaried guys do not enjoy). Any idea who the asst WR coach will be/is? That's the one on the sideline during games, as Brian will be upstairs calling plays.

I am sure there will be some hand-wringing with talks of NIL offers and the visits, but I don't see much of risk especially with the Hartline promotion to OC. No matter what us fans may feel about the other programs, all of those schools would be fun to visit and I would do the same thing. Enjoy your visits and then come home where you belong Chris.

What it comes down to with visits, and I can't stress this enough, and I'll put it as blunt for everyone as possible: kids at CHjr's level are getting PAID to take many of these visits. That is the stark reality of it. People shouldn't be worrying about CHjr when he visits Oregon for the 37th time, or when he visits Miami, or suddenly SMU, or even scUM. He's getting 4 to 5 figures to be wined and dined. This is kid is crazy quiet and reserved, and being professional. But to think he won't take visits for that type of money is just silly. If collectives are willing to pay, then let them. He LOVES Hartline and Day, but especially Hartline
