2027 CA QB Brady Edmunds is a Buckeye!!!

Is he good?

Legit question. What do you guys like about him?
Yes. To start off with the the downside, I could see concerns that he has peaked early and the upside may not be as high as some other targets. The flip side of that is that he has a low floor and would be a solid QB if he doesn't improve a ton. Really we need a QB to distribute the ball to the insane talent at WR, we don't need a miracle worker. More importantly we need a leader and Brady seems to be one.

He is also quite mobile for his size, think Will Howard (a great comparison all around imo). As long as he knows when to tuck it, he can move the chains with his feet and frustrate a defense. On throwing the ball, he isn't exactly a sniper with accuracy but gets it done. Plenty of velocity and I would like to see work on touch throws and intermediate throws (that's the vast majority of HS prospects though). He does seem to have good pocket presence and I love his size to see the field.

Overall I would be very happy to have him as our QB in this class.

Unless people have actually studied him and watched him throw 150 different ways....your not going to get an accurate picture of "What do you like about him?". I did find it weird he went through the UCLA love faze only for him to actually stay on. However, there could be a lot of reasons of why that was and I am not meant to know.

Brady is a stud. As excited as we rightfully should be about Vargas, don't discount this kid for a second. He's going to compete with TSC for a starting job as well for that matter. Great start to the season for him.
With all of these kids coming from more advanced HS passing schemes, TSC's on the clock. Those physical tools will go so far, but Fahey and Edmunds play in some offenses that make them closer to college ready than what he had a Bellefontaine.

Remember when people (only a few thankfully) in the spring were saying he was going to replace Sayin sometime this year? Pepperidge Farms remembers....

I’m still a huge believer in TSC and think he will start next year. I’ve also been vocal in this thread that I really wanted Brady in this class and think he’s an elite passer. I couldn’t be happier with TSC, Edmunds and Vargas in the pipeline.
I hope for the best from TSC, and would like to see him develop more. I've been on both sides of the fence for Edmunds, but he is talented. And maybe his injury last year hindered his athleticism, because he was starting to look eerily like Kyle McCord(not a big knock, just more of a statue pocket passer). If Edmunds can consistently move the back and escape harm, he could be special

It's not a knock on TSC. It's a knock on my never-ending love of hating on moron "fans"....

It's an honor and privilege to suit up for the Buckeyes as QB. Always has. Clearly the trigger of the team. Rises and falls, etc. And Day is apparently the 'QB whisperer' to have so many excellent players wanting his teachings. Of course, the pros are the final test, but during college days, that as well. Recruits game plans these days, are go get some experience, do well, and leverage that into a highly compensated NIL package, or at least play for a winning team, and gain recognition there. Sounds like tOSU is a pretty darn good landing place.

Yep, was just posting my opinion as I’m a big believer in both. I’m very happy this kid stuck with OSU as it’s clearly been his dream a lot like for Haskins. Glad he’s shooting his shot, and of course with the talent ahead of him and behind him he will need to be incredible to get on the field, but glad he’s going for it.
