CA LB Kyngstonn Viliamu-Asa (Notre Dame Signee)

I don't even understand how you can be mad at the coaches here. He literally says Ohio State was his top choice, but he felt a spiritual conviction to go to another school. Nothing you can do about that.
Fans need someone to blame. And Knowles makes for an easy target after the 2 losses to end the season, missing most LB targets last, not rotating enough, and now missing out on a kid who's faith is paramount to his life. No, this isn't on Knowles, but most fans will disagree with that sentiment, as they need to point the finger at someone on staff

ND is a great place to get a degree. Won't win a Natty but that's not really guaranteed anywhere, so can't blame him there. Wish him the best, wanted it to be in Columbus but rooting for him in South Bend.

I honestly don't understand this sentiment. I won't be rooting for him to fail, but I will be rooting for his team to lose. I won't care how he does personally, unless he needs to have a bad game for ND to lose. Then I'll be rooting for him to have a bad game.

Respectable midwest team with good academics that doesn't rhyme with *ichigan and will likely never beat us any time soon. Would obviously prefer us to be the pick, but there's a ton of other schools I would rather not be the pick here.

KYNGSTONN VILIAMU-ASA

There’s usually no bigger advocate than me in regards to not reading into anything a college football recruit posts on social media unless it’s a commitment or a top schools post. Nevertheless, despite being committed to Notre Dame since this summer, Viliamu-Asa has “liked” a bevy of Ohio State related tweets on his Twitter account over the last month or so, which is at the very least curious if nothing else. And then, there’s this.

OSU had long thought it was the favorite to land the California linebacker in the summer, but he had a change of heart a few days before his commitment in July and ultimately went with the Fighting Irish. That said, OSU hasn’t stopped recruiting the top-70 prospect. Don’t expect the Buckeyes to stop their pursuit of him until the ink is dry on his National Letter of Intent to play for Notre Dame on Dec. 20. It’s unclear if the Buckeyes can successfully flip Viliamu-Asa, but the chances are higher than they seemed a month ago, especially if graduate assistant James Laurinaitis is given a full-time spot on Ryan Day’s staff.
