Maybe because oil money isn't one-time, but on-going. Just pump a bit longer/harder, and voila. Black gold. And, the UT alums aren't shy about funding what they want/need in a Texas team. 'Dallas' was a soap opera, certainly, but actually depicted many truths about the oil scene. Anyway, point being, Texas can/will buy/rent any player that they believe will give them a better team.

I watched his YouTube video. Maybe it was just the way that it was edited, but in the video he says something like "...I hope to continue the defensive lineman tradition here at Ohio State." Sounded like a major tell to me. He also weighed in at 264, and so I lean to thinking that he's on the defensive end path to playing time. He really looks up to J.T. Tuimoloau. So in short, I think he's ours, he'll be a D-End, and hopefully we get on the ball and find one or two big and bad D Tackles for 2027 (maybe portal?). Just my opinion.

Ohio State football recruiting target Marcus Fakatou to announce commitment Monday​

According to Adam Gornoy of Rivals, Fakatou will be making his recruiting decision on Monday. That is when the Buckeyes will find out if they will have him in Scarlet and Gray next year. By all accounts, it seems as though they will have him as part of their class.

Fakatou is one of the best recruits in the class, as he is listed as the second-best recruit in the country on the defensive line. Having both he and Jacobs in the same class would be an all-time snap for Larry Johnson, who continues to prove that he is a great coach and recruiter.

At this point, it would be shocking if Fakatou picked someone other than Ohio State. They have been on him from the start, and he seems to like everything that they have to offer.
