2027 CA DL Marcus Fakatou is a Buckeye!!!

LJsr working his magic in building relationships. That and a very competitive NIL package always keeps OSU in the DL game.
Juck has a great story about Marcus living on his own for several years with family in middle school. Marcus is originally from Alaska and his dad wanted him to play against better competition. Thats what led them to moving to CA for HS

I thought he was done and should have retired a few yhears ago after his his last few classes and rumors of fighting with Knowles. Lord was I wrong

Hope Larry has a few more years in him that’s for sure. I also thought it was time years ago but he’s Adjusted during this NIL world that’s for sure
I don't think he adjusted, as much as he was given a bigger NIL budget. There have been numerous kids(i.e. Jahkeem Stewart, Jake Kreul, Deuce Geralds, Justin Scott, Colin Simmons, etc) who would've been Buckeyes if OSU could've beat or come closer to the opposing teams offers

I'd use the old homily that the size of the pie is set, only variable is the size of the pieces. However, it appears that the size of the pie has grown somewhat. How much, we won't know until the recruiting dust settles. If at all.....not so certain any university wants to make known how much they have paid for the new recruiting beef. But if the NIL dollars are from outside the university normal funding, then who's to say. At least it's all above board, and the 'under the table' monies are now exposed.

Not to hijack, but my impression of LJSr is has always taken the approach of "If you play for me I will treat you as though you were my own son." This resonates for some prospects more than others.

Back on topic - Jacked to have Marcus on board!

These conversations, we can gladly continue in the 2027 recruiting thread
