If this guy is an upgrade for you guys, you had major problems at center. Seth has always had issues snapping the ball. Some games he was fine, then some games he couldn’t do it.

He didn’t even travel back from Pasadena with Alabama. Word is he didn’t like the players getting on him on the sideline during the game.

OSU benched it's center before the bowl game, which is partially why their O was that bad, bc OSU hasn't bothered to recruit OL for multiple seasons.

that said, he could certainly play guard too.

How was he as a blocker? No guarantees he plays center.

Our guy had no problems snapping.
He just wasn’t so good at blocking.

To answer the bolded text, yes we did. Our center play was pretty atrocious. But as others have said, if he can play guard then we may never even put him at center. This OL we had might be the worst I can remember in my life at OSU, so the perception of improving with Seth is likely reality.

While you are correct, Lincoln was a first year guy. JT and Cardale had multiple years in the system.

While your main point is correct, Lincoln wasn't here for Spring ball. He wanted to finish his Senior year in High School playing the other he sports he was involved in, and didn't arrive on campus until just before Fall camp started. And JT redshirted his entire freshman year due to recovering from a knee injury suffered in High School and didn't play while Cardale was in his third season as a Buckeye with very limited playing time prior to that incredible 3 game run in 2014.

I think you’re underestimating what goes into a QB calling signals. Why do you think so many teams look to the sideline before the play? The majority of QB’s aren’t making calls at the LOS. I’m not sure why you expected a true freshman, who expected to redshirt, to suddenly be good at it.
