I would venture a guess that he progresses along the lines of Ken Johnson. 3rd year in the program should be his coming out party. If it happens faster than that, then kudos to the staff and Diallo.

Yeah, I thought the optimal plan is to get Diallo and Giddens both and then redshirt Diallo. If they don't add another big for the team next year, then clearly there is going to be a small reserve role for Diallo but I dont see the minutes as being regular at all.thank you, again, for the "keeping it real" portion of today's broadcast.
claiming that osu fans may be expecting too much of diallo next season is a nicely built straw man. pretty much all you're going to find is fans here or there hoping diallo can give us about 5 minutes. is anyone even penciling him in for 10+ minutes? heck, many fans are open to the possibility that diallo may redshirt. if that's expecting too much, well...
Brian Snow says not to expect much of anything from Diallo next season and people should probably listen.
But I can already feel the sizable contingent of fans amassing to crucify Holtmann when Diallo can't get off the bench next season.

Very happy with this, if you’re going to take on a “project”, take a 7 footer that has had little formal coaching with a gigantic wingspan.
many? really? between here and 247's basketball board, the overwhelming majority are hesitant to assume much at all of diallo next season. most of the conversations center around diallo being a complete project who will probably get very minor minutes -- or even a redshirt.I have seen multiple posters on other sites talking about how...they can't wait to watch him play 10-15 mpg next season
if i'm looking for a bargain-basement opinion about basketball, i'm going to 247's "the front row." i'd concern myself with their opinions as much as i would their opinions on special relativity or proper hygiene. No, but they are people that are going to whine and point the finger at Holtmann when Diallo doesn't play as much as they want him to.
Don’t take nomatta seriously. It isn't football my man
All the OSU basketball coach has to do, when football is rolling, is not suck.
Running a consistent top half of B1G/occasional title contender type program is a lifetime contract.
he's a good poster, though. a little depressing at times, but his overall takes are generally solid.Don’t take nomatta seriously.
i think he's going to stick around. probably seek his master's degree in order to continue being a student-manager. otherwise, doubt he'd get a paid role with a title. he has designs on going into coaching, so staying within the program for the time being should be the smart move.Saw where Greg Oden received his bachelor's degree. Does anyone know if he's going to stick around, maybe earn a masters in something...
Welcome aboard Mr. Diallo! I am very happy about this get, big man with some real tools to work with. Gotta love landing a 7 footer with some athleticism.
