C Greg Oden (All B1G, All-American, Defensive Player of the Year, Butler Assistant Coach)

Fouled out with a few mins left. Had 10pts. A couple of his fouls are so ticky tack its ridiculous. Even me being a Cavs fan didn't understand a couple of them. He can't touch anyone thats dribbling without getting called. The last foul that put him out shoulda been on Aldridge anyways.

PORTLAND ? Brandon Roy could notice a difference in Greg Oden Monday night just by his body language.

Sure, the 7-foot rookie scored a season-high 24 points and tied his season high with 15 rebounds. But Roy also noticed Oden talking more, even on plays in which he was not involved. He scrapped for rebounds, tipped loose balls, played physically and tangled up with opponents.

?He was aggressive, active, he was talking,? Roy said. ?He may not notice it, but he puts a lot of pressure on the opposing team when he does it. Even if he doesn?t get it, it?s just making them work so much harder than they have to. ... He makes the game a lot easier for all of us.?

The performance generated the greatest buzz around Oden since his debut last month. It was easily his most dominating performance of the year, and came with the calm and confident demeanor that Oden said last month he was trying to bring to the court more often. But it also was almost immediately greeted with a familiar question.

Can he do it again?

Oden has assembled other breakout moments that fueled speculation that the former No. 1 draft pick was starting to emerge, only to see him return to the inconsistent play typical of a rookie.

He recorded three double-doubles in four games during mid-November, but failed to crack double-digits in scoring in four of the next five.

A 15-point, 15-rebound game against the Los Angeles Clippers seemed spark something in mid-December. But Oden averaged 6.0 points and 4.4 rebounds while limited by constant foul trouble in the five games that followed.

Another turning point came in late December, when Blazers coach Nate McMillan urged Oden to stop pressuring himself and try to have fun. Oden responded with back-to-back double-doubles in wins over Toronto and Boston. But it was once again followed by extreme highs (17 points, 13 rebounds against Chicago) and, for most of last week, the extreme lows of getting a combined four points and rebounds against Philadelphia and New Jersey before fouling out against Charlotte.

So Oden?s excitement remained tempered even after his career performance.

?This is one game,? he said. ?The thing is to keep it up for the next game. Like coach always said, let?s get the carryover.?

Oden and Roy lead Blazers 100-87 over Wizards
By ANNE M. PETERSON

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) ? Greg Oden had 18 points and 14 rebounds for the Portland Trail Blazers in a 100-87 victory over the Washington Wizards on Saturday night.

Oden had 12 points and 10 rebounds in the first half alone for his 13th double-double this season. His back-to-back dunks in the third quarter put the Blazers ahead 57-40. Roy's tip-shot made it 66-44.

Portland's 7-foot center was the first pick in the 2007 NBA draft, but his rookie season was delayed when he had microfracture surgery on his knee that kept him out the year.

While Oden was inconsistent for much of the first half of the season, his game has come together as of late. Earlier this week, he set a career high with 24 points, and added 15 rebounds in Portland's 102-85 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks.

If we all remember Oden didn't really turn it on (after shaking off the hand injury) till around the around the tourney. Could it be that we are starting to see the same thing in the pros and the knee is starting to come around?

I.D.
So this past week i turned 21, its been a really fun week. I really dont feel any different, everybody ask me if i feel older and i give them the same answer heck no i feel like a day went by. On my birthday when i was paying the bill for my dinner and drinks i gave the lady my credit card and i.d. and she said she didnt need it. So the next day i went to a resteraunt and sat in the bar and they carded all my friends except me, even when i went to a club they didnt card me at all. Its just seems different to me cause i feel like one of the best things about being 21 is when the people who works at a place dont think your 21 you get to whip out your i.d. and shove it back in there face. Ill never get that chance cause everybody already thinks im 50. Im still waiting on that day for someone not to recognize me and card me so i can be like "nope player im of age."

How could you not love this dude?

Seriously, what professional athlete who is a gazillionair still acts so down to earth. You know those questions every kid asks when younger. "if you could hang out with one professional athlete for a day, who would it be?"

I think my answer has officially changed to Greg Oden.
