C Greg Oden (All B1G, All-American, Defensive Player of the Year, Butler Assistant Coach)

there was a preseason article in which greg even mentioned that he enjoys seeing his father because it means that he can just sit in front of the television, not do anything, and get away from all of the commotion. he stated that he likes that his father allows him to be himself.

Does his dad live in Buffalo or Indy?

Here are some of the NBA teams that would make Greg Oden the No. 1 pick in the NBA draft ? David Stern says he'll fine me if I don't pretend Oden could still stay at Ohio State ? if the Ohio State freshman decides to declare for the NBA:
Memphis. They have the league's worst record and a chance to pair defensive minded Oden with offensive minded Pau Gasol and have the second coming of David Robinson and Tim Duncan.

Great article. Makes me truly want for him whatever Greg decides is best for Greg. We always say how "different" Greg Oden is...It sounds like he had a friend who was the same kind of "different" and for that kind of loss I am so very sad for Greg, Travis' Family and all those who called him 'friend'.

May God Bless Travis's Family & Friends and may his soul rest in peace.

Wow. Thats a very touching article. I have to admit I was getting a little choked up reading that. It makes me feel like I don't want Greg to go to the NBA for a whole different reason, almost like the end of innocense or something wierd. Thanks for posting it hoops.

Go on vacation for a week and everything is crazy.....

I am probably not the only person who is tired of all the speculation by the media and just want Greg along with Conley and Cook to have some time to make an informed decision.....the good news is that they are getting the right information to make a sound decision.

Saw Oden heading to class today... thats a good sign still I think.

Well, yeah, I think it can be taken that way... and I hope it does mean he's planning on staying..... but, on the other hand, Oden doesn't strike me as the type to simply give up school because he intends to declare. From what I understand, he's a bookworm of sorts. In fact, I'd be willing to bet, even if he goes pro, he ends up getting a degree over the course of time.
