C Daniel Giddens (transfer to Alabama, transfer to Vermont)

I'm not so quick to be as dismissive of his selection. Avery Johnson seems to have Alabama on the upswing in his one year there, and has the cache of coaching successfully in the NBA. He could've done significantly worse IMO.

In any case, best of luck to Daniel at Alabama.

Avery's a good coach, no doubt. But I hardly think he wants to be at a program like Alabama long term. If he continues that upswing, Daniel may only play for him for one year (or not at all, if 2016-17 is a really good one for the Tide).

Giddens is not skilled offensively, a big athlete out there to block shots. Not missing much with him off the team. And he is the best former OSU player that transferred during/after 2016.
Which points out that talent evaluation appears to have become a huge problem for the former staff. We appear to have recruited some of the worst 4- and 5-stars in the history of sports.
