Disappointing. And surprising--he always seemed to say the right thing in interviews this year. While he played with fire and was good on the defensive end of the floor, his offensive game needs a fair bit of work. At this point, Thompson simply was the more polished player overall and deserved the lion's share of the playing time. I'd love to know the backstory here.

I don't think it says anything remotely negative about Giddens - you have a guy with a ton of heart and passion who cares about the team and he's surrounded by me first, lazy, entitled athletes who care about themselves more than the team. He's a true freshman who came from out of state and HE is the emotional one for the team....how does that happen?? Look, I have a lot of faith in Matta but the staff needs a shake up.

Such a blow to see Giddens leaving - instead we have some character albatrosses on this team still and next year isn't going to be any different. If you think things are magically going to change with the roster and staff the way it is, forget about it. What's the definition for insanity again?....
