Amazon has discounted XBox Live Gold (12-month) cards down $24 to $35.99 today while supplies last, just FYI for any who use that service.

Great deal. This is the absolute lowest price you'll find, and it might not come back for many moons. I made that mistake once, after seeing dozens of deals over a few months, when I needed it, there was nothing, so I had to spring for the $40 card (which was then 15 over the former low of $24.99).

This sponge comes highly recommended (the wife mocked me talking up a sponge, but was quickly a convert):

The Original Magic Jetz Scrubz J27 Scrubber Sponge Rectangle by Harold Import Company, Inc. (Mar 8, 2006)
Buy new: $5.00

Unfortunately the 3-pack is not available any more, but it is definitely worth $5.

I purchased this sponge last march and it is still in perfect shape. It held up so well I forgot how old it was. Ordering a new one today just to be safe regarding bacteria (probably overdue) despite microwaving & dishwashing it regularly.

You know this much about a sponge but had to ask what to use for installing improvised shelving in your basement? I am very close to asking you to hand over your man card. :p

I would like to take a friendly jab at you as well. A sponge, really? At first I wondered of you were pointing out your most trusted method of birth control. :)

I'm sure it's been posted before, but I can't find it in this thread. Can I check a purchase, a couple of days later, to see if BP got their cut?
It's anonymous, but jwins or I can check the list for something you've purchased if you like.

For anyone thinking of buying one, I received a Kindle Fire for Christmas and it's great. I haven't rooted it, but easily added a custom Android launcher and programs and customizations. Being the right size for a purse is probably only important to the BP ladies and kinch, but it's a convenient size in general. I read an hour or two a day on the backlit screen with no problem - more than that and the E-ink versions would be better. The system recognizes the microphone on the $2 earbuds I purchased, though I haven't tested Skype yet or found a trustworthy Google Voice app in .apk version (which is what you install to get items that aren't in the Amazon approved list for Fire yet).

I read that Walmart will have the Fire with a $50 store card in this weekend's ads. That's the only deal I've seen for it so far. BP doesn't get a cut, but that's okay, especially if you buy lots of apps and books from our link later.

amazon also frequently matches major deals from best buy and amazon, so keep an eye on this page.
