Good thing we got the two best teams in college basketball playing for the National Championship otherwise people would think this is a horrible display of the sport....:smash:

Everyone knew the rules going into the tournament...win or go home. We lost. Shit happens. :ohwell:

Butler's team defense is why they've been good in the tourney the last couple years. Even when they lost, they held Duke to 61 points. They make you work for everything. When you have little time to prepare for them, and you haven't played them, it becomes more difficult.

Bulldogs lead 22-19, halftime.

This demonstrates conclusively that a playoff invariably determines The Best Team in the USA.

Ugh. What a crapfest this turned out to be. More turds on the floor than in the elephant house at the Columbus Zoo.

I disagree. I love it. Heavy defense, contested shots, tough transitions....

I agree with you to a point. 22-19 at the half is just shameful though. I think the low score has more to do with terrible shooting than heavy defense.

Field Goal Pct: UConn - 29% Butler - 22%
3 point Pct: UConn - 0% Butler - 35%

Stop it. :wink2:

If we were an 8 seed and playing tonight no one would be complaining about it. It would be all about how great it was to have a chance to win the championship on the floor.

The last two weeks of tournament whining come down to one thing: Ohio State was the top seed and lost. That's fine, let's just be honest about it.
